    This privacy statement governs the Azure Authenticator Application (the "Authentication App").  It does not apply to other online or offline Microsoft or non-Microsoft sites, products, or services.  Other privacy statements may also apply to the data you process through the Authentication App, such as the privacy statement of the organization that provides you access to services that use Microsoft Azure Multi-Factor Authentication Services and the privacy statement associated with your device.

    Collection and Use of Your Information
    The Authentication App enables an organization to authenticate your access to data and services by prompting you to verify account sign-ins using the app. In order to provide this service, the Authentication App processes information, such as your device token (a random number assigned to your device) and your phone number. 

    The Authentication App is provided for use only by end users on behalf of Microsoft customers who subscribe to Microsoft Services. The information processed via the Authentication App is processed by us on behalf of our customers.  We may disclose information as directed by the Microsoft customer. 

    Support Data

    Support Data is the information we collect when you submit a support request or run an automated troubleshooter, including information about hardware, software, and other details related to the support incident, such as contact or authentication information, information about the condition of the machine and the application when the fault occurred and during diagnostics, system and registry data about software installations and hardware configurations, and error-tracking files.

    Support may be provided through phone, e-mail, or online chat. We may use Remote Access ("RA"), with your permission, to temporarily navigate your machine. Phone conversations, online chat sessions, or RA sessions with support professionals may be recorded and/or monitored. We use Support Data as described in this privacy statement, to resolve your support incident and for training purposes.

    Following a support incident, we may send you a survey about your experience and offerings. You must opt-out of support surveys separately from other communications provided by Microsoft, by contacting Support or through the e-mail footer.  To review and edit your personal information collected through our support services, please contact us by using our web form.

End users of this Authentication app and any Microsoft or non-Microsoft sites, products, or services administered by Microsoft customers should direct privacy inquiries to their network administrator.
