Linux on Azure: Partner FastStart

Linux on Azure: Partner FastStart is a Microsoft initiative to help organizations that have deep Linux workloads expertise build or extend their existing practices on Azure. Through this initiative, Microsoft will provide onboarding support, technical enablement, and opportunities to sell in Microsoft marketplaces and with Microsoft sales teams.

Criteria for participation

In order to be considered for Linux on Azure: Partner FastStart, an organization must:
  • Have an existing Linux consulting or delivery services practice, with at least 10 full time staff
  • Must have a public-facing offering of their relevant services, or public references of work previously done with customers
  • Companies not currently in the Microsoft partner program are welcome to participate
  • If you meet these criteria, review the detailed terms below

Partner expectations

Build Azure expertise
Customer engagement
  • Create and publish your Linux on Azure consulting/delivery service on the Microsoft catalog
  • Go to market with that solution with your sales and business development
Joint Go-to-Market activities
  • Develop pitch materials for Azure
  • Participate in agreed GTM activities, which may include:
    • Delivery of joint customer workshops
    • Development of joint digital marketing campaigns
  • Contribute to Azure best practices documentation and reference architectures
  • Participate in Azure case studies

12 months from registration to obtaining your advanced specialization

We’ll provide you with the support you need to accelerate your Azure practice to maturity. If you qualify for the advanced specialization in 12 months or less, Microsoft will shoulder your audit fee for the Linux and OSS Database Migration to Azure advanced specialization.* OS Partner Accelerator process overview v3
