OTMAR SZAFNAUER: Ninety eight percent of what we do at a Formula 1 team, is done at the headquarters at the factory. PIERRE DIMBLEVAL: It's the speed at which we can gather the data that matters for us. You want to extract as much as you can from a limited budget. [MUSIC] OTMAR SZAFNAUER: Migrating to Microsoft Cloud, means that the entire team can be more efficient, can access data more quickly, and that in itself is a competitive advantage. [MUSIC] SERGIO RODRIGUEZ: If you see our car has a very big IoT device with hundreds of sensors, thousands of channels. We are generating around three million samples per second. PIERRE DIMBLEVAL: The data generated by the car running on the track, is immediately accessible because of the Cloud infrastructure everywhere in the world for our engineers. SERGIO RODRIGUEZ: On the base of all this, is actually made up files because we have different services that need to share some information or location where we store the data and is fast to access data. Having that data available as soon as possible allows our engineers to make decisions as soon as possible. Azure NetApp Files gives us that speed. [MUSIC] OTMAR SZAFNAUER: With over 800 employees, pulling in the same direction, it is key that everybody has the same information. SERGIO RODRIGUEZ: Everything runs on Microsoft Azure, because we have found that is the best place to put this platform. In Formula 1, we need a lot of flexibility to scale our resources. Being on Azure we can scale up anything we need. PIERRE DIMBLEVAL: We want to ingest technology, that will make the entire team a better team. We always want to race to win. SERGIO RODRIGUEZ: Azure NetApp Files, is the perfect technology for that. [MUSIC]
