Driving change means, putting ideas in motion... ...igniting a movement around those ideas, generating change... ...that will put yourself and your business on the road to success. That's what I like about working at Bridgestone... ...but that's also what gets me excited about working with Microsoft. Together, we're combining tradition and technology... ...and get right behind the wheel of digital transformation, and we're joining forces... ...to create sustainable solutions that will put the whole world in motion. Bridgestone is a global leader... ...in tires and sustainable mobility solutions. We like to think, we have a tire on every road, on every hour... ...somewhere in the world. But our work is not just about roads and tires. Together with Microsoft, we're focusing on data and technology... ...inspired by our Bridgestone E8 commitment. Under this pledge, we're working to become a Sustainable Solutions Company by 2050. We want to get a better understanding of what's going on inside of our business... ...so we can create better outcomes for ourselves and for our customers. And we've just built a platform that will help us do that. CAPPA is our end-to-end data and analytics platform... ...that we have built for Bridgestone with Microsoft. We have created CAPPA using Microsoft technologies such as, Azure Data Lake... ...Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, as well as Microsoft Purview. The idea is to bring all the data in a single location like the Data Lake... ...and use that data to create insights for the entire organization. For example, Mobility Solutions. We're working on a proof of concept, with a few cities in Europe to create pothole maps. This will help them to improve their road repair management... ...as well as make the roads safer. We're currently working on numerous projects... ...that will contribute to sustainability, directly or indirectly. To do this, we're capturing loads of data from manufacturing... ...that would be used for EAG reporting... ...but also it will help reduce our manufacturing footprint. What does this mean? The more data we have, the easier it is for us to understand... ...how much energy we consume. If we combine that knowledge... ...with analytics, we will make better, sustainable choices. For example, anticipating tire health... ...to reduce fuel consumption. These are some of the hundreds of uses that we have found with CAPPA. We have set up a data and analytics center of excellence... ...that is generating outstanding insights. We want to get a better understanding... ...of what's going on inside of our business... ...so that we can create better outcomes for ourselves and for our customers. And we've just built the right platform to do this. At Bridgestone we have a tradition, about moving the world. Together with Microsoft we are now building on that tradition... ...combining it with new technologies... ...we're moving the world even closer to our sustainability goals. There's more work to be done, but we're on the road and we're driving forward.
