- At DirectLine Group, our purpose is to give our customers peace of mind now and in the future. - As a general insurance company, we offer a whole range of product services to support people's lifestyles. - The contact center is front and center to all of that. - When COVID happened, we had uplift our entire user base and move them to home working and so real significant shift, real challenge. - So we decided that we would leave the office in 48 hours and all work from home. You know, we were thinking about, well how are we actually gonna do this? - So we've had a good and long partnership with Microsoft as COVID struck that required us to accelerate. Primary bundle is Surface Go 2 coupled with a large display. - Having the Surface Go 2s, having Microsoft Teams in particular really helped us because our operation is a national operation. - I love the Surface, it's small, and it's light. I can unplug it and take it into the office with me. - Now that we are able to get together really quickly I would say we're even more productive from that perspective than we were before. - The Surface Go 2s have a low power consumption. In the event the device is lost or stolen, we can remote wipe. - People can work from home. They can work flexibly and it's opening up a lot of opportunities for us as a group to reach a much wider population of people to come and work with us. - Feedback has been really, really positive. The substantial proportion of our workforce responded the Surface Go 2 bundle had improved both their wellbeing and productivity. - It's certainly changing the way in which we intend to work in a hybrid model in the future. We don't just wanna replicate what we did in a pre COVID environment. We actually wanna change the way in which we're working, and so all those Microsoft tools that we're using really enables us to do that.
