In fact, we operate a lot of shopping malls and Dubai Mall is perhaps the largest in the world with over 80 million visitors a year. Our services are designed to deliver a distinctive customer experience, so customer loyalty is a important component of that. Customers come in and they, you know, scan their receipts on the mobile app and they try to earn the points. Now this is a very laborious process for us because there's almost 5,000 receipts that come in a day. What is required is a more intelligent and automated process that can be real-time and the customers can see the points immediately. - Partnering with Microsoft, we build an AI scanning solution on top of Azure Cognitive Services. We trained the model to read the receipts of all the outlets in the mall. So after three months, with an accuracy of 80%, we started the journey and we are sitting at 92% with over a million of receipts scanned. The transition was quite seamless for our customers. They were able to get the points faster and enjoy the benefits. By leveraging technologies that democratize AI at scale, like Azure knowledge mining, Form Recognizer, now we are able to process all our receipts in-house with a small team of validators. That's a 50% cost savings month-on-month on receipt processing for us. - Our next step is to use the Azure Cognitive Services to fully automated, look at the low-value receipts and ensure that everything is automated so that the manual validators today who are focusing on validation don't have anything to do in the validation part, but they specifically look at customer issues and further delight the customer.
