(lively music) - My name is Anbu Anbarasu. I lead the Low Code Services team within EY Client Technology. EY is one of the Big Four accounting firms. We are across 150 countries, about 300,000 employees and we're one of the largest consumers of Microsoft technology stack. During COVID, one of the FSO teams reached out to us to work on the Paycheck Protection Program solution. The program entitles any small business owner in the US who is impacted by the COVID lockdown to go into a bank and apply for a PPP loan. So EY wanted to simplify the process for both the banks, as well as the borrowers. Typically, when we try to build an application, we start from scratch. We come up with a wishful design and the wireframe and it's a long process. We didn't have any of those luxuries when the COVID hit. The key differentiator on why we chose Power Platform is how easy and quick it is to develop solutions. Power Apps, Power Automate and data come together and integrate very seamlessly and that was the reason why we chose Power Platform for the PPP solution. As an IT person, it's not very often that you touch up on people's lives through your solutions. Since launching the solution, we were able to process the loan amount for 50,000 small business owners, totalling 10 billion in loan forgiveness. It feels great to have been part of the solution and to have delivered this at a very crucial time when people really needed it. (lively music)
