[music] Any modern education needs three pillars to be successful. The first one is the educator itself, the second is the student, and the third one is the curriculum. Technology plays a major role in connecting all three pillars of the education system. Kuwait University is the first and largest governmental institution in Kuwait. [music] Our trigger to implement a learning platform was during the shutdown, the total shutdown, and we had no way to coming back to face-to-face education except by implementing a platform that connects the instructors to the students online. [music] Microsoft Office 365 was the key software solution that we have used in Kuwait university. It connected our teachers with students and the curriculum in a very smooth way. LMS platform was hosted on Microsoft Azure. Microsoft Teams were used mainly for the virtual classrooms. Initially we had to add our students manually, however, using data sync from Microsoft and single sign-on we were actually able to automatically generate these different courses. The feature I find the most useful in Teams is its ability to host an entire course, so for example, it has the assignments, it has the tests, it has the quizzes, it has the contents of the slides, and all of that. So personally after the pandemic or before it things were complicated to contact the doctor. We had a lot of platforms to connect to communicate with them, so instead of using all different platforms I actually have one unified platform. I can talk to them, send them messages, send them my assignments, even doing our lectures. [music] We also implemented proctoring systems using artificial intelligence on the Cloud. There are many other features that helped us using AI such as chatbots, all this was on the Cloud, and I think the future of education should utilize the cloud services as well. [music] Today we are using this technology, because we know that there is no way back to pre-pandemic, and we can still use the AI to support our education. [music]
