Microsoft Azure gave us everything we needed, a proven cloud platform optimised to run our critical SAP applications. With SAP we are provided with the speed and transparency of our supply chain data that is unmatched in the market. It gives us full control of our sales and distribution, our HR and our finance. To continue delivering excellence, we recognised the opportunity to harness SAP's full potential. This meant a need to move to a more modern, more secure cloud platform. What was attractive about Azure for us in McLaren was that it brought all of the customer information, all of the information that we needed to improve customer experience into one place. It's clear SAP and Azure are better together. The two systems are so flexible and the fact that Azure is SAP's preferred choice was underlined by the smooth transition. SAP now doesn't experience any downtime, which is a big win for a company like ours. A more fundamental gain is the greater visibility of data, and it means that we can involve far more of our wider team to analyse customer feedback leading to more improvements, huge gain for our vehicle warranty performance and our customers' experience. Now that we have migrated SAP to Azure, we are better able to share that data using tools like Power Apps. This started with our shop floor display of real time TAKT data and then with the Microsoft 365 E5 licence we enjoy, leads to greater efficiency and productivity across the board. As advocates of the range of technologies in the Microsoft stack, we can leverage their interoperability to provide greater visibility of the end to end vehicle lifecycle. Overall, our future is well lined up leveraging predictive maintenance and giving customers advice about spec, future purchase options and the timing of servicing. What we're seeing is a real step change in our industry and is a vision that would not have been possible without the technological capabilities SAP offers when combined with the power of Microsoft Azure.
