Reed is a recruitment business. We’re the largest family owned recruitment business in the world, and we specialise across 20 sectors of recruitment. Everything that we look to do is improving people's lives through work. We were very desk based and very desk tied. It made us understand that we needed to innovate, we needed to change our platform. We've invested in the Microsoft 365 suite and also in the Surface devices, and really transformed the way that our co-members work. Through the journey with Surface, we have taken huge steps in modernising the technology. We're in a kind of ‘always-on’ work any time, anywhere, environment now. And the kind of final part of that journey was cutting the cord with Teams Phone, removing those physical desk phones, and really freeing people up to work from wherever they want when it suits them. We can call from anywhere, receive calls from anywhere. It makes logging in and out of call queues much, much easier than it was previously. And then we're able to diversify out into call centres like we weren't able to before. Team Phone - it’s been a real joy. Being able to get hold of candidates quickly and being able to have a virtual call with them has sort of alleviated that problem we had of people make an appointment having to come into the office. So the areas were seeing the most gains really around productivity certainly within the co-members. Key areas that we've seen Surface really improve the experience of co-members is the kind of new starter onboarding experience. We've reduced that from one hour down to less than 15 minutes. We've also seen a 50% reduction in service desk tickets per head. We're actually 50% more productive now than we were in 2019. When you think about the place at work and how it's not just an office, it's that device in front of you. It's that window into the business. Planners, OneNote, Recording - all of those things have just changed our lives. Not only are they powerful devices that really just give us the whole desktop at our fingertips, but they’ve modernised the way we approach the world of work. Our co-members are happier now than they've ever been, and the morale has never been higher in the business. And that's really important because we want to attract the best talent and also retain the best talent. So this is very much the start of our digital transformation. We see opportunities certainly across business apps and Power Platform working alongside Microsoft as absolutely a key partner. So I look forward to working with Microsoft and innovating more in the future.
