(passionate piano music) - There's so much going on in digital health, but it's also very fragmented. At Mount Sinai, we created a platform where physicians and care teams can prescribe apps, they can prescribe a medicine from electronic health record. We created the first enterprise-wide digital health formulary which can be activated right from EHR. - Rx. Health was so popular within the healthcare community in general that the decision was made to spin out Rx. Health and so now Rx. Health is a completely independent company of Mount Sinai Health. Providing a unification platform for digital therapeutics and monitoring that allow our patients to progress on their journey with healthcare with all the prudent resources that we have within Azure are critical and really address the market in a very rapidly changing environment. - Azure was able to help in this vision of making sure that each and every piece of the architecture which we are adding to our formulary is in line and is cutting edge and very operative. We use Microsoft Azure App Services to host our apps. We also use Microsoft Azure AVS. That helps in our interoperability mission and the data first strategy. We also Microsoft Azure Bot Services to create off the fly bots. We are also using Microsoft Azure Comsos DB for our databases, and likewise, we are using Microsoft SQL Server as well. We are also using Docker for seamless deployments and then Power BI for reporting. It can be executive dashboards, it can be any sort of dashboards for clients where they're able to see the data and be able to make an educated decision right there for the specific patient. You know, being in healthcare, availability is one of the key essential topics. Azure was able to provide that confidence where we were able to avoid any sort of outages. - One of the unique things which we have found in a unified platform approach, like Rx. Health, is all the fragment issue goes away. So it just allows us a window for digital health which never existed before. Clinical care teams have tasted how empowering it can be and patients can see how powerful those experiences can be in a very timely, efficient and effective manner. (gentle piano music)
