- Our industry moves at a fast pace. It means we must have the systems and processes in place that can handle that demand, because as the UK's largest provider of tools and specialist equipment and services, our fast, unmatched, four-hour delivery service is what our customers expect and rely on. - For a long time, the foundational system for our business has been Microsoft Dynamics AX. Well like all businesses, there was a need to modernise and digitally transform. We were looking for a solution that above all was stable and would provide us with enhanced security and a single system for operations and reporting. We were also looking for faster, real time data to optimise equipment and people resource, and a reduction in overall ERP support. For us that system was Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. - Our team support the higher end services needs of more than 46,000 businesses, more than 300,000 higher assets via our 200 locations across the UK and Ireland. It's large. It's a complex operation with lots of interdependencies. So what amounts to a huge task and in the middle of a pandemic, you can imagine how that felt risky to me. - From a people perspective, the delivery of effective change management was a key part of the project's success. - As a user of the system, I was really happy to see the transition go so smoothly. Being able to process orders and everything else we do here with the knowledge that they are accurate. - The fact that our two and a half thousand users picked up it with minimal issues, and the fact our customers were not impacted, can only be described as a huge success. We're now looking forward to seeing the benefits in many areas kick in. From increases in secondary revenue to improvements in real time order creation and high control of productivity. - Our foundation for the future is now set with Microsoft technology, being a big part of that effort to be more sustainable, more efficient and to offer an excellent customer experience for all our customers.
