Alongside that comes legacy issues.
The current system
was creaking at the seams
and we needed to look for new solutions.
The fix for us was Microsoft Dynamics 365
Field Service Support
with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Straight away I could see the differences
it was going to make
within the service desk, in particularly
making sure that we have more time
with customers on the phone.
It's got more interaction with Microsoft,
it's got bolt ons, you can move things into it.
The sky's the limit basically
with Dynamics 365 Field Services.
My favourite bit of Dynamics
is doing the quotations.
It's just so much simpler.
One of the immediate benefits
that we've seen is once
we deployed resource scheduling optimisation,
it's actually decreasing
average miles per engineer per day from 73 to 68.
It gives us all this seamless integration
between Power BI, Teams.
So it's very quick and efficient.
Another big benefit
that we've seen immediately
is booking a service in,
it used to take us five to six minutes
and on Microsoft it only takes us three seconds.
And it also gives us security,
so if the building in the past burnt down
and the server went down
we would lose all our customers data.
The cloud based solution is far more secure.
What the data does for us
is it presents it
to both me in the office
and the guys on the road
in a usable format
so we can make decisions day to day
on where our focus goes.
We will be bringing more cloud enabled solutions into play
as we look to unlock further efficiencies,
reduce operational costs
and most importantly
improve our service levels
to deliver the best customer experience in the market.
I fundamentally believe
with Microsoft as a foundation,
we can truly build anything.
