"House" is an innovative take on the medical drama series, where the villain is a medical malady and the hero is an irreverent, controversial doctor who trusts no one -- least of all, his patients. Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) is an infectious disease specialist, who thrives on the challenge of solving medical puzzles to save lives. Devoid of bedside manner, his acerbic, brutally honest demeanor often borders on antisocial. House shepherds an elite team of experts who help him unravel diagnostic mysteries, including plastic surgeon Dr. Chris Taub (Peter Jacobson), enigmatic former "contestant" number Thirteen, Dr. Remy Hadley (Olivia Wilde) and Neurologist Dr. Eric Foreman (Omar Epps). His good friend/confidant is Oncology Specialist Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) and former team member, Dr. Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer), no longer has to answer to House as he now works in Surgery. Although there is continual conflict over House’s duties and unconventional behavior, few can deny that his brilliance and flawless instincts are worth the trouble.
