Compose is available only with Copilot in the Edge browser. To open Compose, click the Copilot icon in the upper-right of Edge, and then click Compose at the top of the Copilot sidepane.
Compose is available in the same languages as Copilot – over 100 languages! Simply start typing in your preferred language in the Write about box. To learn more about language and region availability, go to Your AI-powered chat for the Web with commercial data protection | Microsoft Copilot
Simply click the Re-generate draft button on the bottom of your draft, and Compose will rewrite it. You can also type input at the bottom of the Preview box, and have Compose rewrite your draft based on that feedback. To go back to your previous draft, click the Back button.
Compose takes your written prompt, and lets you select from multiple tones, formats, and lengths. You can also add your own custom tone (e.g. excited, confident) by clicking the + icon in the tone selector, so you can get to a draft that matches your tone more precisely.
Yes, Compose is available on Microsoft Edge, including when you’re logged in with your Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory). Copilot and Compose will add commercial data protection when eligible users are signed in with their work or school accounts (Entra ID).
