Join the Mixed Reality Partner Programme

The Mixed Reality Partner Programme (MRPP) is a Microsoft-sponsored, community-driven programme for partners that design, build, deploy and operate mixed reality solutions.

 

MRPP partners have successfully helped customers in manufacturing, healthcare, retail, education and many other industries to accelerate their digital transformation initiatives and improve business impact.

Mission and goals

The mission of the MRPP is to enable solution providers, systems integrators and digital agencies to build and deploy breakthrough industry solutions by providing them readiness, sales and marketing resources – as well as incentives for delivering business results.

Tiers and requirements

To become an MRPP member, you must:

- Have an active Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) membership.

 

AND ONE OF THE FOLLOWING

- Have an application running on HoloLens 2 available for purchase.

- Have the ability to deploy 1st or 3rd party application with HoloLens 2.

 

MRPP has two premier tiers: Silver and Gold. Each tier has its own criteria for inclusion and compounding benefits.
 

Membership in the programme is annual from 1 July – 30 June of the following year no matter which month you join the programme. Tier status promotions, such as moving from Silver to Gold, will be reviewed quarterly based on criteria noted on the MRPP website. Tier demotions, such as moving from Silver to Member, will be reviewed twice annually in June and December. The data you enter in your MRPP Application Form will be used for tier review and can be updated at any time.

  • Partner must have three developers complete the required mixed reality technical assessments on Partner University:

    • Managing Performance of a Quality HoloLens 2 Application (18812)
    • Building a Quality HoloLens 2 Application with the Mixed Reality Toolkit (18813)
    • Designing a Quality HoloLens 2 Application (18814)

Associate your MPN ID for Partner Centre and Partner University – To get credit for passing the class, the developer or designer must have a personal Microsoft account registered with Partner University that is associated with your company’s Partner Centre account.

  • Partner must have an application running on HoloLens 2 available for purchase.
  • Partner must have an active MPN membership.

 

IF DOING BUSINESS AS AN ISV OR DIGITAL AGENCY

  • Partner must have 100 annual HoloLens 2 device sales or influenced sales*.
  • Partner should have an Azure-based solution and have integrated one MR Azure service (Spatial Anchors, Remote Rendering, Object Anchors) into their solution, AND have 50 HoloLens 2 device sales or influenced sales*.

*Partner sales/influenced sales can be calculated using the trailing 12 months or a forecast using unit sales run rate. All HoloLens 2 sales – including customised or ruggedised devices – count towards partner sales.

AND ONE OF THE FOLLOWING

  • Partner must have 300 annual HoloLens 2 device sales or influenced sales*.
  • Partner should have an Azure-based solution and have integrated one MR Azure service (Spatial Anchors, Remote Rendering, Object Anchors) into their solution, AND have 100 HoloLens 2 device sales or influenced sales*.

*Partner sales/influenced sales can be calculated using the trailing 12 months or a forecast using unit sales run rate. All HoloLens 2 sales – including customised or ruggedised devices – count towards partner sales.

  • Partner must have completed 2 customer deployments of an Azure-based MR solution AND 100 HoloLens 2 device sales (or influenced sales).
  • Partner must obtain Silver Cloud Business Applications Competency (either the Customer Engagement option or the Unified Operations option), AND partner must complete 3 customer deployments of D365 mixed reality business applications (minimum 25 user licences/deployment).

*Partner sales/influenced sales can be calculated using the trailing 12 months or a forecast using unit sales run rate. All HoloLens 2 sales – including customised or ruggedised devices – count towards partner sales.

AND ONE OF THE FOLLOWING

  • Partner must have completed 3 customer deployments of an Azure-based MR solution AND 300 HoloLens 2 device sales (or influenced sales).
  • Partner must obtain Gold Cloud Business Applications Competency (either the Customer Engagement option or the Unified Operations option), AND partner must complete 5 customer deployments of D365 mixed reality business applications (minimum 25 user licences/deployment).

*Azure Application Consultations are available in limited supply and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
** To qualify for Azure credits, Partner must have an existing Microsoft Azure account. Credits will expire upon the earliest of (i) 15 June, 2021, (ii) one year from Partner’s receipt of [Gold] status, or (iii) use of all available Microsoft Azure credits. Azure Credits may only be redeemed for Azure usage. Azure credits are not redeemable for money or monetary value from Microsoft or any other person or entity. Any balance in Azure Credits does not refer to or imply any credit balance in real currency or its equivalent, but instead constitutes a measurement of the extent of your limited licence to use Azure.

***DMP Programme: Mixed reality distributor-managed partners (DMPs) are Microsoft partners that are authorised to purchase HoloLens 2 directly from a Microsoft authorised device distributor (ADD) and resell the device as part of a mixed reality solution.

Before applying, make sure your organisation reviews the requirement criteria.

 

The application process takes approximately 30–45 minutes. The applicant should be authorised to provide your company with revenue estimates and establish company alliances. You will also need to provide your company MPN ID and Azure subscription ID.

 

All partners that meet the MRPP Silver tier criteria based on their submitted application will be evaluated by a governance council before being admitted to the programme. Gold candidates will go through an extensive business assessment with a mixed reality Partner Sales Executive to validate answers provided.
