Could have been good

Theres already too much paid content in games, but having to 'rent a server' to play a private match is beyond ridiculous. This is one step away from having to buy the game, then having to pay to play it, to an extent thats exactly what it is. Utterly ridiculous... they really are just selling half of a game now, paid content is no longer additional content, but stuff you've already paid for. I pay for my xbox live and I paid for the game, so having to 'rent a server' is unfair and insulting.

What we needed

Enjoying Battlefield 1 so much, Great fun. After playing COD for years i have grown tired of the same old futuristic rubbish that gets put out every year. First time i have ever pre ordered and played Battlefield from day of release and am so glad i did. Only problem i have is its so addictive i can't stop playing. Amazing.

Brilliant New Installment

Using the ever wonderful Frostbite engine, Battlefield 1 is a beautiful new installment into the Battlefield series. Add the Premium Pass, and this game will keep you playing right up until 2018 and even longer.

Incredible gameplay but stripped down to sell you DLC

There are maps on the disk in the campaign which will reappear as DLC. Giants Shadow being the first example, the work is already done. Tired of this trend. Stripping modes and splitting the playerbase has to stop

DLC and Season Pass

No point paying for dlc as there's barely anyone playing it. i think im done wasting time and money on season passes from EA. Money first; community second. Base game is ok though but not worth the full digital price. Buy a 2nd hand physical copy ♻

Great game

Very chaotic and immersive, 64 player conquest is always fun. Even the campaign is decent. The only downside for me are the painfully long load times but that might just be my xbox getting old. But overall it is FUN.

Fantastic job DICE. Must Buy from me.

Fantastic game in almost every conceivable way. The gameplay, graphics and campaign narrative are all excellent and the sound design... wow, just wow. Only criticism I might offer is the length of the single player campaign, could have done with an extra 2-3 hours content to be perfect. All in all a great job!

Game being changed too often

Good, but only @ new lower premium pack price... dlc weapons made so OP forcing everyone to buy it to remain competitive. Devs ignore basics such as respawns in front of or from dead enemies,+ game optimised for high pings. Low pings seem purposely handicapped & auto aim system? Disable it & you disadvantage yourself generally as everyone runs it, enable it & your aim gets sucked to a different enemy, so you fatally miss both. Ton of time put in over 2 accounts. Hip fire stupidly strong; all these "CoD gripe" reviews ~ Hello, but in CoD you have to actually aim! New players gifted with auto aim guns as no newbie servers provided, game gone downhill, see Battletracker population history graph... Such a shame. Now devs changing everything to claw back players. Silly fast TTK w/some weapons, now being reduced further, never a chance to get to cover if u start taking damage... Fine if u have a medic in yr squad, but if solo u will probably have more fun sticking your knackers in a vice.
