Typical Fixing what isn't broken

This new version has caused all sorts of issues since install. Being forced to learn all over again on a Monday morning is not my idea of a good way to start the week. Saves different. Imports data different. I need to figure out how to get rid of all of the cute colours in my the sheets I need to print so it doesn't cost me a bunch of money in printer cartridges, and I really don't understand why every time I save a sheet, it forces it into sheet2 while leaving sheet1 blank. It took me 45 minutes before I accidentally caught that out of the corner of my eye while I was trying to figure out what happened to all of my mapped data. I go through this kind of thing every single time Microsoft does this. And just when I get used to things, we get a new version that's even worse.

I'm changing to whatever apple version is

Windows auto updated to it's new version without my consent, then one day I put some olds earphones on my laptop, and the all computer went bananas. The only thing I could do was to reinstallit, but now all my offices apps are gone. I tried to donwload it again but I don't have a product key as it was already install on my laptop. I reffuse to pay for it twice

Awful

Was planning to use the product for market analysis, but instead it's sitting in some empty directory -- rotting. I use to be able to perform quick calculations and get to the point, but now I have to work through dozens of problems to do a simple task.

This is ridiculous!!!!!! BAD PRODUCT!!!!!

The 2016 version of Excel is insane. I worked for several days on a complex workbook that I needed to finish for a customer for a complete and thorough data interpretation write up. I hit save every so often, I had at least 20 hours into it. Came in the next morning and opened my file, EVERYTHING was gone except for the raw data I started with. Bad thing is I thought maybe it was me. Did the same thing to about the same point and poof it was gone again. I will probably be hung, killed, fired for having to delay turning this in again. I would give both kidneys for Excel 2007 or earlier at this point. This is a brand new laptop and there's no sense in this brand new program killing our productivity.

Slow. Freezes.

The good news is that you'll get to know your coworkers very well. You'll have lots of time to get coffee and chat while you wait for the software to respond.

Worst Commercial software I have ever used.

I have used excel for years for the majority of my working day. I have built complex spreadsheets topping 30Mb on excel 2003, 2007 and 2010 with no problems. I have always raved at how powerful and useful excel is. This version however, is so bad that a 'one sheet' workbook crashes if I try to copy some data from a different spreadsheet and paste as values. I have had a spreadsheet crash and revert to a previous version 10+ 'saves' ago losing over an hour of work. This version is so bad and infuriating, if I could seek compensation from Microsoft for the amount of hours lost over the past two months since 'upgrading' I would most definitely do so. It is criminal that this version has been made available to the public.

Excellent program

I looked forward to getting this b/c of the Power Pivot feature. Excel is one of, if not my favorite of the Office programs. I have an online subscription to Office 365 Personal 2016, and the Excel in that program does NOT contain Power Pivot. Microsoft told me, at least as of 7/2/2016, it is only in Excel 2016 Commercial Standalone (the higher priced of the two standalones offered). It is also in MS Office Professional Plus 2016. When I downloaded the Commercial Standalone version of Excel today, it seemlessly added Power Pivot to the Excel that I do have via my Office 365 subscription. You will not end up with the full Office Suite and a 2nd version of Excel Standalone on your computer--it makes the change to your existing version of Excel. Just thought I would let people know all of the above b/c I had a hard time finding this information on the net where there is a mixture of opinions and experiences. I would like to see Microsoft dedicate a page to explaining the Power Pivot add-in, how to get it, and answering everyone's questions.
