Not built for adult users

6 months to find a laptop, 2 1/2 weeks to get familiar to all the difficulties of W10 and then Creators update tore everything apart. Text display adjustments were removed, added were a whole bunch of kiddy stuff. If you are an adult, look elsewhere.

Impossible to link to boot camp

I bought this to use with mac but the instructions for downloading and using with boot camp are incomplete. Seems like whoever wrote them had no interest in whether they would be effective or not. Why not just say 'we don't care' and be done with it?

Nice but horrible.

It started rebooting itself. Then it would fail to boot. Failed to reinstall. Put a new HD and windows 7 pro I had and it runs flawlessly.

Windows10 is great, but Download Tool did not work

I purchased Windows 10 online to load on a new computer I built that did not have an operating system yet. I elected to use the 'Download Tool Now' tool to create installation media on a USB flash drive. I thought I had followed the directions, but all that ended up on the flash drive was the MediaCreationTool.exe file (17.9MB). It only took about 2 seconds to download, so that was my first clue something was wrong. I tried to load it on the new computer anyway, but the computer recognized there was nothing on the flash drive. I expect it is something that I did wrong since I am just a beginner at this. I borrowed a flash drive from someone else that had Windows 10 on it, and used the Product Key that I purchased, and everything loaded as slick as good be. I was amazed at how simple it was to set up and I really like Windows 10, but was just slightly frustrated that the download tool did not work for me. I would rate Windows 10 as 5 stars, but I am writing this review because of the possible issue with the download tool. For that reason I have given an overall rating of 2 stars.

Windows works great!

We upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 as soon as we could. It was a smooth upgrade and we have had minimal problems with it.

Great, when you clean install...

Upgraded from 8 to 10, then it got hung on version 1511 and would not move past there. I wasted so much time trying to delete old updates, re download them. It kept reverting back to a prior version of windows... I wasted days, hours, cursed, it brought out the very worst in me... If I would only have done what I tried to avoid in the beginning. Here's the fatal problem with Windows 10 when you upgrade from 7, 8, 8.1... You carry with you this incredibly long chain of updates. The probability you are going to have an error increases with every update as your chain of updates gets longer. Because you already have Windows 10, Microsoft allows you to download an ISO file of windows with an installation software and you can put it on a usb drive. When you are done downloading you can boot off of the usb drive. I cloned my original hard drive to a SSD so this was easy. To boot off the hard drive, press and hold down F2 while you computer is starting. Then you can change boot option to usb. Windows installation software starts and you can then wipe your hard drive clean and do a fresh install of Windows 10. You then need to download your drivers for your computer from your manufacturer. This whole process took less than 30 minutes. Now my computers are ultra fast and I don't have to worry about update errors... Microsoft should explain this process to people!

Best Windows Yet!

I agree with some other reviewers, upgrade your hardware. On current hardware Windows 10 runs rock hard stable. Fastest boot times ever. My wife is disabled and uses a Surface Pro with touch. Microsoft is far ahead of the 'others' when it comes to accessibility.
