Very Underrated Action RPG

Dragon's Dogma is one of the best Action RPGs I've ever played, and this remaster is WAY better than the original, in terms of visual fidelity (upscaled to 4k) and preformance (around 60 fps). The lore and world are an interesting mix of Greek, Japanese, and Medieval European mythology. The combat is fun, responsive, and challenging, with some boss fights approaching Dark Souls difficulty. The character creation is much more in-depth than most Action RPGs. The world size is comparable to Oblivion or Skyrim and this remaster includes all the dlc, including the expansion, from the original, so there's a ton of content. Dragon's Dogma is absolutely worth a purchase and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who likes Action RPGs, especially if you missed out on this underrated gem on XB360. The boss fights alone are worth it, as they are epic and memorable, as all boss fights should be. 5 out of 5!

diamond in the rough

Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen is an immersive experience. From the rich audio craftsmanship which informs the player as much as it lulls one into the world, to the deep combat systems that are dramatic and fulfilling. This game, of given the opportunity, will pull you into its depths. Developing you character is rewarding and there is a hearty array of weapons armor and skills. The world feels alive and defeating foe in a myriad ways never seems to get old. The use of "Pawns" is a really innovative idea that lets the player have the best of a single player experience while still maintaining a connection to a community. Once you begin to understand how your pawn learns and behaves, tailoring their combat and support style becomes a treat. I always look forward to kindly ranking my adopted pawns before sending them on their way, and when I see how others have ranked my own I get a chance to receive new ideas about how to improve her. Enjoy this gem.

absolute favorite game finally ported to xbone!

i played dark arisen until my eyes bled and my brain hemorrhaged from lack of sleep on 360. For years ive waited for this port. i told my wife i was going to be useless the first week it released and im sticking to that! i also told her she needs to announce herself when entering the room so i can hide my shame from all the fapping ive been doing to this game`s awesomeness. the graphics are decent. the gameplay is awesome (although some combat can be tweaked for any sequel). the pawn system is so great i wish more games used it. the story is pretty generic fantasy but it does have some nice twists. i have poor and inconsistent internet. this game doesnt require a perfect internet system the way it operates. you can play offline all day or occasionally login to find some nice online pawns from buddies. im also gonna tattoo the game emblem on my johnson. my first child is named arisen after this game. nuff said

Best RPG ever just got better

The improved texture and resolution quality is nuts, and they even added more cloth/excess armor physics to make things like capes and the scale coat move around instead of being mostly static and glued to your legs and arms like it used to be. The game looks and feels 100x better than the previously released Ps3/360 version, due mostly to a MUCH more stable framerate that doesn't dip when 10 goblins, a cyclops, and a chimera move about on screen. As for the crashing issues stated by another user, I haven't ran into any problems so far (unless you count being one shot by a shielded goblin flying body slam on hard mode as a problem) This is definitely the ultimate way to experience this gem of a game

30* For one of the best game ever made on next gen SOLD

Take skyrims map and exploration, shadow of the colossus battles, monster hunter enemies, dark soul style gameplay and difficulty (sort of) mix it with some mmorpg style gear grind and loot and you have this master piece. THIS IS A 360/PS3 REMASTER Graphic ****** beware.

5 Year Nostalgic Experience

Five years ago, I had a great experience playing Dragon's Dogma. Spending 500+ hours says it a lot. With Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Remaster, 5 year anniversary, I can once again go back and get ultimate experience I once had 5 years ago. Thank you Capcom for re-release this game. Definite 5 stars. Keep up good work!

This game is nothing short of amazing! It's like a forgiving Dark Souls but with challenges to suit hard core gamers. Great story, wonderful fighting gameplay, and beautiful character customization. What's not to love? Plus you can throw people mwa hahahaha

Glad to see this game back and onto the Xbox One

There is a wide variety of creatures to slay all unique in their own way. There are several different paths of playstyle that you can take in this game. If you want to climb mighty beast and stab them while holding on for dear life you can or if you to sit back and bring the pain from afar that is a possibility as well...or wait... you want a little mixture of both? Done deal as well. With several options to choose from you can also build a unique team to your playstyle. I would recommend this game for anyone looking for an adventure game with a different style of play. This for sure stands up to the Capcom feel in a game.

Give us a sequel, CAPCOM!

I would have paid $60 for this game again, $30 is a steal. This was my very favorite game from last gen, and possibly ever. Time to embark on yet another adventure through Gransys! This game has the combat depth of Dark Souls, the boss fights of Shadow of the Colossus, and the world size of Skyrim with a great upgrade/leveling system of its own and unique party mechanic. Seriously, what more could you want from an RPG? What are you waiting for? Buy this game already.

Awesome Game

This is absolutely one of my favorite games of all time.Had the original on 360 but by the time Dark Arisen came out and I was ready to get it it was no where to be found.Glad they remastered it with all DLC included and for all the time you'll be spending lvling'doing quests'etc $30 is a steal. For people who've never played it pick it up the character creation is one of the deepest I've ever encountered'plus combat is very fluid.Would give it a 10 if I could.
