Description

In 2013 the world was devastated by an apocalyptic event, annihilating almost all mankind and turning the earth’s surface into a poisonous wasteland. A handful of survivors took refuge in the depths of the Moscow underground, and human civilization entered a new Dark Age. The year is 2033. An entire generation has been born and raised underground, and their besieged Metro Station-Cities struggle for survival, with each other, and the mutant horrors that await outside. You are Artyom, born in the last days before the fire, but raised underground. Having never ventured beyond the city limits, one fateful event sparks a desperate mission to the heart of the Metro system, to warn the remnants of mankind of a terrible impending threat. great with some flaws

this game feels like a pioneer game for first person storytelling, the game has beutiful graphics even the old gen. game is impressive. the game itself is highly underated, you spend the same amount of time shooting as you do soaking in the darkness and story. One game is great but you can get both for this price amazing. once you start playing and finally finish them, it will leave a part of the story and atmosphere with you. In my opinion its a great game that can rival any post apocalyptic game out there. but theres only one downfall, the games AI is clunky and just sometimes stupid. on any difficulty but the hardest they die easilly and usually run head first into death by you, they have no tactics just run and shoot. And when it comes to the hardest difficulty its not forgiving play smart or die.

Few games can match the loving attention to detail

Both Metro games will pull you in and keep you engrossed to the end. The music, art and loving attention to detail amaze me every time I play. I especially love the settlement of Venice where little stories and life plays out around every corner if you take time to notice. A true masterpiece, I can't wait for 3 and hope they don't change a thing.

If you like halo and action like in gears

This game is awesome and grounded. By that i mean its belivable although it has mutated animals and aliens, you feel for the world. If story doesnt interest you, this shooter on the hardest level will step up and kick your behind but you will feel rewarded!

Must understand story

This game has a very complex story, mostly fitting with the book, while leaving out some "boring details" that do not fit the game. This game is wonderful, and I could not get enough of it. Many people will not pay attention to such fine details. Metro: Last Light does not conform as Metro 2034, instead being 2035. This game is more survival based, while Last Light is a bit more Run-and-Gun in nature. I believe this game definitely has replay value, finding thing you may not have noticed in your first playthrough. Will be playing again after finishing as a book first.

A pretty nice post-nuclear shooter

Metro 2033 is a neat little shooter with interesting mechanics. However, it isn't too user friendly, as there is no tutorial. Some mechanics, like the Morality system, aren't even alluded to. But, with all the Redux's enhancements, fun action and stealth, and competent writing, I can easily recommend it to any shooter fan.
