Thoroughly enjoying this game

If you played the previous game you know exactly what to expect with Shadow of War. The gear system is fun and the variety of Captain gimmicks set the tone of the game well. If you're worried about the loot chests, don't. Mirian is everywhere. You will get all the gear your little heart desires. Also Talion looks more like Sean Bean, which is always a plus.

Even better the the previous one

I like this so much better than the last one. I have been playing for the last 8 hours straight, i had to force myself to take a break cuz i was going cross eyed. The last game i'd get bored after a half hour or so. There is so much more to do in this one so it doesn't seem as repetitive. I buy pretty much every game that looks decent. I wasn't real excited about this like i am for some, but i was definitely pleasantly surprised with this game. It is well worth the money.

Fun At 1st But Becomes Repetitive + Loot Crates Suck.

Gameplay is solid for the first 20-30 hours. Progression feels good and abilities are useful and fun. Graphics are 5/10. The "parkour" system feels like a bad ripoff of Assassins Creed most of the time - the only redeeming feature is that you can climb pretty much anything you want. The targeting system is awful and I constantly ended up attacking the wrong target as a result. Near endgame it is way too hard to find decent orcs for your armies. This is most likely done to persuade players into purchasing loot crates via microtransactions. It makes the repetition feel even worse when the rewards for your efforts and grinding just lead to more disappointment. If you do manage to find a captain you like, you can't even send him to your army in another region unless you have another item only found in the loot crates. If you want a decent story and 10-20 hours of gameplay, wait for a sale. The game is average.

Amazing

Beautiful graphics, responsive controls, epic story and mythology. Its Lord of the Rings come to life and you're right in the middle of it!!! If you enjoyed the first game you'll love this one. Welcome back to Middle Earth

It looks Beautiful, plays smooth, clumsy install

Probably not the fault of the people who make the game, but the feedback it gives you when the game isn't out yet "error". isn't good enough. After 9pm PST on 10/9/17, it worked, but I had to reboot. It needs to say "wait till this day and time". I'm assuming that's Microsoft's fault though. I'm VERY happy with WB / Monolith with the game. It's BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE it when games let me do dynamic resolution on PC! I have the details cranked to ultra (except textures, not enough VRAM) Because of Dynamic resolution I'm getting so much detail AND 60fps. Well done devs! I'm glued to the screen, the game takes everything that's great about the first game and builds upon it. It's weird having to re-learn my skills, but they're coming back so quickly, that I'm OK with it. Love your work, devs! Thank you!

different time zone

if your new to how time zones work and daylight savings... just apply that and see what time zone the game release in as well, check if day light savings is in effect for the game... this is a great game. cant wait to play it

not worth it

more of the same, thats ok but nothing is any better than the first. orcs are more annoying than ever...captains disappearing during fights, content not showing up. the more i play it the more disappointed i am with it...micro transactions not with standing

Best game I've played in a while

I just wish I had more time to play it. Loading screens are a little long, but the gameplay and story are fantastic so far.
