Relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement provide the foundation for intense, first-person combat – whether you’re obliterating demon hordes through the depths of Hell in the single-player campaign, or competing against your friends in numerous multiplayer modes. There is no taking cover or stopping to regenerate health as you beat back Hell’s raging demon hordes. Combine your arsenal of futuristic and iconic guns, upgrades, movement and an advanced melee system to knock-down, slash, stomp, crush, and blow apart demons in creative and violent ways. Expand your gameplay experience using the DOOM SnapMap game editor to easily create, play, and share your content with the world.

Proof that good games can still exist

First off, I can't believe I didn't get this game sooner! I wasn't sure how I felt about getting it considering I've never played any of the other games, but one day, I decided to buy it from the store when it had a $20 price drop. BEST DECISION EVER. In mere days, Doom has turned into one of my favorite games of all time! With some of the greatest visuals current gen games can offer, amazing, action-packed, fast-paced and unique gameplay, and EXTREME replayability. This game was a steal at $40 and with the amount of addictingly fun content in this game, I would've easily paid double. A campaign with so much to offer, from the wide array of enemies, unique settings, challenges to beat, secrets to find, and more. The multiplayer is just as amazing! So many weapons to use, and so much customization options to unlock! As if that wasn't enough, there's SnapMap, where you can find and play community made missions! Other devs should be taking notes, because this should be the gaming norm!

Disco Safari Demon Party

Replay vaule that is addictive, competitive, fun & challenging! Surpassing the competition, DOOM brings FPS to the next level again, making other shooting games boing & slow. Campain & multi-player act almost seperate games and complement perfect gameplay in syncopation!

This game doesn't NEED co-op!!!

THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE A GAME!!! You dont need to be online, you dont need the season pass to play, no STUPID micro-transactions. The game is complete from the moment you purchase it, the single player campaign is OUTSTANDING,one of the best ones in memory; cause its full attention went into story and gameplay for a FPS to have great platforming mechanics puts others on the market to shame. Kudos to Bethesda and I.D software for sticking to their guns and not be afraid to to deliver a HIGH single-player replay value experience. The multiplayer part is just more content to this great game , beware its fast paced and BRUTAL as DOOM should be, and the tons of creator content adds more to the replay value. Game developers and publishers could learn a thing or two from easily the best game of 2016 that you dont need to have DLC or greedy corporate micro-transactions to produce a top selling AAA gaming experience.

Greatest game I've played

Now a few years ago i didnt know what DOOM was until I saw the movie back in 2005, then a few years later at E3 2015 they showed gameplay of DOOM and thats when i fell in love with the game. It was so fast-paced and so amazing in ways that i couldnt explain. Now there actually was SUPPOSED to be a DOOM 4 but it was cancelled because id said it felt like COD but with a DOOM layer over it and it could've been something they could've easily changed instead of cancelling the game! But nontheless this DOOM is a game worth buying and I HIGHLY recommended it.

Extremely entertaining but very short campaign

I will deny not that this is a very fun and entertaining game wirh stunning graphics but it's story seems very short. I believe that the amount of information and lore t it gives us makes a more detailed world. Where it lacks isn't that the campaign is short, its that the amount of fun you'll have makes it seem fly by. There is no way to fix this without decreasing the entertainment value dramatically. I genuinely love this game and that all Id Software put into it, so it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Different from any shooter game you ever played, but in the best way possible, be ready for anything and learn from your mistakes. Only the quickest mind's will survive.

Good... But to fast paced.

Great game, I love it but it is very fast paced and too pushed forward for an apocalypse game. Multiplayer is really unrealistically fun. I think this isn't one of the best games of Bethesda, and I have always loved Bethesda. Recommended if you like fast paced games.

A return to form...

This game is outstanding. The gameplay, visuals, and sound are incredible and it doesn't try to be what it's not which is to be another cookie cutter shooter. It instantly reminded me of something from the golden days of PC and N64. There's big maps, exploration, keycards, powerups, platforming, a deep upgrade system and tons of variety in weapons and monsters in addition to snapmap which harkens back to Timesplitters mapmaker. It is above all else astoundingly fun and a title that should be considered a modern classic. ID Software really outdid themselves here and I consider it a must own for every Xbox One owner.
