Great Story, Disappointing Side Narratives

The main story is great, it has ALMOST everything we've come to expect from a BioWare game: great lore, climactic events, and meaningful characters. However, there are not nearly as many meaningful choices in the game, unlike Origins which had PLENTY. Many choices only add operations on the war table, which give the game a larger sense of scale, but make the choices seem nonessential. Grinding through huge areas is fun at first, but quickly becomes a chore with the uninteresting side plots. The only reason I kept exploring was to do companion quests and to kill dragons (which are spectacular boss fights). The characters are very strong, with only a couple of weak characters. Romance in this game is pretty disappointing, the relationships were great, but as a heterosexual male player, there only two characters to pursue... both still good though. Combat is a lot less tactical then Origins, but more action oriented. Overall, a great improvement to DA2, but not perfect. Still recommend.

meh

the game is fun i'll give the developers that but the combat seems a bit lacking. all you do is hold down the attack button and use some flashy special moves every once in a while. customization is amazing but character height and weight are not changeable. the unswitchable classes are also a bit of a turn off once you've spent half an hour on your characters appearence and find out that your class sucks, the archer probably being worse since you're unable to aim freely. other than that this game is pretty fun but there will always be a part of me that thinks this game could of been better.

Good RPG but not great feels like an mmorpg......

Its story, characters, lore, and dialogue is all there and is game's saving grace. Love its huge world but not a fan of it's new UI and combat it's to limited, repetitive, and felt like it was tailored more to a multiplayer mode not a campaign in an RPG where you want access to as many spells/skills as possible during battle not less. It feels like they got lazy and just gave campaign same UI they wanted in multiplayer instead of seperating both game modes and giving campaign its own UI as it's normally done and campaign in that aspect suffers for it. Lastly there are fetch quests and game can feel like a mmorpg at times more so then an actual AAA RPG we are use to getting from Bioware that hurts game too. So for those reasons it's a good game but not great or on the level that we are use to getting from bioware team originally.

Fantastic Storyline & Romance

This game is very detailed and places you into the iquisitor's shoes. The characters have detailed personalities for the most part. The romance storylines are thorough and diverse. Every choice you make has a ripple effect and leaves you even more involved than before. Definitely a game worth paying for.

not fun for 2 handed weapon warriors

I love the series, but combat is slugish and boring for 2 handed weapon warriors. if your ablities are on cooldown you are stuck holding RT while watching slow swinging auto-attacks. Melee combat was much more fun in Dragon Age 2....even Origins.. 😢

Enjoyable

I truly love this game for its characters. However I dislike that the story does not feel as in depth as it could be as well as the glitches. It feels as though once GOTY came out they dropped this game while leaving in some mean glitches (elemental mines).

Buy this game used!!<~

Okay alot of folks will give this game 5 stars and talk about the graphics and story telling. Ill tell you save your cash and pick it up used for 10 bucks or less, now you have a bargain priced game worth th cost and game play. The side quests are grindy and time consuming making no real sense to the plot, characters are static and the game isnt the "table top" experience you are craving with a great narration...my opinion. Any more cash spent on this game including DLC content is pissing away your cash...🔥🔥🔥

Simply Phenomenal

Truly a work of art. From the depth of the characters and their individual personalities, to the attention to detail in the environments. This is now my favorite RPG ever. Great combat and plenty of story for you to get lost in with a nice crafting system. Worth the money.

Phenomenal in every way

This is the first game I've ever played where I felt truly immersed into the action. Every big decision feels and IS crucial, the characters all have their own personalities. It's a joy to chat with your followers/friends. The fighting, while at times can feel like a grind, are very well done and require tactics. Definitely not one to play on casual if you've played other Dragon Age titles, go all out with the difficulty. Hands down the best game I've ever played. It's definitely earned its spot in my library, and it deserves a spot in yours too.

❤ Amazing!

This is my favorite RPG ever! It has fantastic lore, beautiful scenery, and some of my favorite companions. I also enjoyed the fact that you can create Thedas' recent history with the Grey Warden and the Champion.
