Gears on Pc

I played Gears 4 on Xbox one and I loved it from the campaign to the multiplayer to horde but once my 103Gb install was complete for the windows store(I had lots of errors occurring causing complete re installs) I fell in love with Gears again the game just looks superb on the pc on ultra detail loads are quicker, barely any pop ins, very detail graphic settings, awesome and detailed benchmark. I have a i5 6600k and Zotac 1070 amp extreme and I'm getting a little over 100fps on a 3440x1440p res and yes it does support 21x9. Field of view is there as well, I haven't messed with key bindings yet but will do(sprint is the spacebar). The community is there and lively(US west) as well I'm able to join matches quick just like if I was playing on my Xbox one and cross ranked is in. Good Job Coalition this is one of the best ports I've encountered and definitely one of the most beautiful games I have ever seen to date.

Awesome!

I loved GoW 1-3 and was very disappointed in Judgement. GoW has gone back to their original roots and has provided us with a nostalgic recreation of the former series with an all new Horde mode witch is very similar to # 2 & 3 but better in every way!

Great game

I really enjoy the 60 fps versus gameplay. Getting kills with gnashers and stuff is really addicting to come back to. Outplaying noobs is just a feeling that can't be described. The horde mode is pretty fun because of the different classes you can choose. I have gotten used to the 30 fps in that mode and found it enjoyable. It is ignorant to say that just because something doesn't run at full speed makes it not fun to play. I even played WoW on a old laptop for almost 2 years during highschool so who am I to judge a game based on fps. Just for fair critisism, people who say that multiplayer is full of gnasher fights are people that completely disregard the lancer and what kind of power an active one at distance can do compared to a gnasher. No doubt running up to enemies at shotgun range are you going to get bodied in a gears of war game. It all really depends on your movement and how you play the game. Plus, its better to contest longshot in any case.

Time trashed my view👎

The campaign builds excitements, but was very short an seemed imitated with some of the boss fights. Horde is very difficult which helps with warming up or staying sharp. Plus the Skills bring you back because you can work on each one. I love the fast paced multiplayer! And all of the improvements through the updates except how badly the hammerbust was nerfed, The scrap points and airdrops are nice and keep us grinding for new skins, chacters an xp boost. But when they give away exclusive characters i feel hustled. Yall could make new characters instead of cheap fixes. I feel ripped off for buying the season pass. i didnt know the new maps would be playable online no matter what. Customs arent worth anything unless you play GB so the season pass is a waste of money. The game is going downhill and its sad. Gears is still my favorite.

Love the game, sys reqs way too high

Love the story and game. Lots I enjoy but as with all PC games its tons of config drama to just play it. I sit at the Xbox insert game, play. On the PC it's this file or that 500 vid card doesn't have enough ram. I am glad the Play Anywhere is in effect here or I'd be more upset. For normal people who do have to afford life a PC to run this game will cost you another vid card despite to $500 I spent on my 550Ti. I supposed if I wanted to spend all day setting the crap up I could use the second card I have but honestly I shouldn't have to. Sad part is the game used to work now it just freezes before the title screen and I just don't have time or energy to mechanic this into working.

Beast Mode!!

The pros far outweigh the cons! About the only changes I can personally recommend are as follows: 1. I think there should be a toggle for crossplay enabling/disabling on the casual unranked multiplayer lobby. 2. Instead of Flooding the character selection menu with copius amounts of the same characters with different skin options, why not simply create a sub-menu for each? Setup being something similar to the weapon skin menu i.e. highlight character press Y for outfit selection. That way finding and changing a character would be so much easier and efficient. 3. When playing ranked (Escalation being the personal preference) it can be Extremely disheartning and frustrating that due to players either rage quitting or losing connection etc. the team is punished. Meaning quite simply that when one person quits or leaves, those of us that try to stick it out and see it finished take one hell of a beating, leading to more teammates leaving. Too many times I've been 1v5 for 3 rounds or more.

Kind of a letdown.

Liked the graphics. Liked the super sized mechs. Didnt like campaign only being 2 player co op. Going from GOW3 to this felt like regression not progression. You should always build upon instead of strip down. Horde mode has been ruined by quitters and no backfilling. WHY NO BACKFILLING? My advice to the Coalition is this......on your next project, start with 4 player co op campaign in mind and build from there (Get real crazy with stages like GOW2 and 3). 2 player co op was moving backwards. PUBLIC MATCHMAKING AND JOIN IN PROGRESS IS A MUST FOR CAMPAIGN. GOW3 aced that feature. Just put bots and JIP for HORDE and build from there. BRING BACK BEAST MODE.

A Good Game but with some problems

The campain wasn't like the originals but was still enjoyable, The RNG system for the gears packs are a pain but at least we get new characters every month for free or with money, The multiplayer was the best thing about this game it was improved from the originals but at the cost of the campaign which was still enjoyable but not like the originals, Horde is probably the mode that i liked the least unless i'm playing with friends because they don't quit before the 1st wave even starts which is sad when i play Horde with random people there were a couple times I beat Horde with random people but when you get a game going its fun you'll have more fun playing Horde with friends and Horde 3.0 is an improvement of the previous games there class which means teamwork but its annoying when people dont know how to play their roles but this game is fun in the end but it has lag a ton of lag which gave me cheap deaths and i've lost because of it, its mostly balanced somtimes in the end its fun.

big changes to horde... needs work otherwise

after the story i was left waiting for something interesting.. but then i realized the story was over. the multiplayer needs work with having a good connection and better mobility of the character. that was prob because the game is new. penalizing people for leaving a game that needs work is a joke. it s doing me a favor by not allowing me to see this eyesore. however i paid for the game so they shouldnt be able to ban you from a game that requires online. horde mode exceeded my expectations, but finding a match is a pain. it takes forever to load the map (which you cannot pick or back out of until the match starts). then after about 4 min of waiting, everyone quits and you are on insane by yourself. getting skills was pretty easy but crafting was just annoying. every menu had options to buy stuff with real money. a chance at getting a virtual character for five dollars is sad. the maps are mostly just old maps and dont offer anything new. if u like horde, u should like this game.
