Needs to be fixed. EDIT: A Workaround

A fun, enjoyable expierience for RWBY fans, that is, until it doesn't save your progress. Don't buy it unless you really have to, in which case I ccompletely understand. EDIT : A way to make sure it saves is to always use the IN GAME exit on pause. Rating adjusted🙂

It's a bargain purchase.

This game can be quite awesome especially for RWBY fans, but be warned it suffers from some crippling issues. I'll start by saying it has drop in, drop out cooperative, the combat is simple yet very fun, the game has some difficulty spikes, the horde mode is a ton of fun, and the characters play styles are different. That being said it's story is lacking compared to what we've in the show and odds are you won't pay attention after the second mission. Massive frame rate drops, failed connections, connection time-outs, getting trapped in the sky cam, and invisible enemies that you can't see or attack occur constantly. To make matters worse the level cap can be reached with any character in a little over an hour tops. That being said when it gets patched up and hopefully gets more than just Campaign and Horde can this gem truly start to shine. For now I'd say wait for a sale.

co-op and players 1-4 should also be available offline. Please add this feature, it would forsure make the game more enjoyable.

The Fantastical World of Remnant or it seems...

Great game with a fantastic story. For a game to make it to consule from where it began is quite the "Achievement". But do take in the account of this has been made by a small development team compared to other big name game development teams so is few bugs that can be fixed. Easy to play even without any form of a tutorial. Not much in the campaign's without knowing and seeing the series with same name. With some game mechanics seem shallow like the hit streak counter and a few other parts. Hopefully more content becomes available in time (Neptune and Sun...) But overall, if you like the series, then you will absolutely love this game and all it has to offer. But keep in mind that its not a perfect game. I wonder what is next for Rooster Teeth Games will make next (The nonexistent update).

Good for fans...

I love it due to how faithfully it recreates the world of the series, but it definitely needs work. Sometimes Grimm just don't show up. Plus, a restrictive level cap, and lack of other characters, on top of a short campaign, drag this down some. But, for recreating the look and feel of the series, I still give it a good review

Fun But Not Perfect

I like this game but its not perfect. If you don't have Xbox live gold then single player is hard to do. You can grind to get stronger but its through die and try again or redoing levels. It be nice if there was some form of A.I. assistance. Would hope they would add it in a patch but kinda doubtful. If they make a sequel I would hope its more refined both gameplay and story wise. Also would love to see a 2D/2.5D RWBY fighting game. I think that would be really fun.

IT's A GREAT GAME!!

That's if you are a fan of the anime RWBY, If you are not familiar with the anime then it is still a good hack-n-slash RPG and there is a bite of a challenge if you go solo in the campaign.

Okay if you love RWBY...

The game starts out with promise, especially if you are a fan of the show, with decent controls and graphics, but the plot ultimately goes nowhere and, by the end, the gameplay has devolved into a test of luck and patience over actual skill. The difficulty curve before the final mission wavers up and down indecisively, with some areas being hair-pullingly hard and some being laughably easy. Some characters are downright broken (with Jaune's inability to deal with long range enemies coming to mind) and some enemies are impossibly hard. The gameplay style seems to be a strange cross between a beat-em-up and a spectacle fighter but without the catharsis of the former or the tight controls of the latter and the game overall has a strange feeling of unsureness in its design. Essentially, buy it if you're a fan with money to burn, but not if you're just looking for a good game.

Love this game! It's not done yet I hope.

This game is awesome. Characters are awesome (Nora is the best). Entertaining storyline. But there is a lack of content so far. With only 2 modes (one only being in multiplayer). There is a ton of room for improvement and I hope they continue building upon it and keep improving it. That being said, the gameplay is fun and very smooth. My only real issue is a huge frame drop while in horde mode.

A Good Start

For RWBY fans, this is an obvious choice, but I do admit there are some problems. Solo play can feel unforgiving, and capping at level 10 well before other perks are unlocked to even see what they are is a bit disappointing. The Rank system, while good for those looking to add longevity, is also harsh in regards to perks, as all that work and progress is stripped away to essentially get a badge that says "I've played a lot." I know I've grumbled a bit, but there is definitely fun to be had here. The characters each feel unique and balanced, and the gameplay, while buggy sometimes, feels like a strong first attempt at Rooster Teeth entering the gaming world. The characters and their personalities are as fun and engaging as ever, including team JNPR. This is certainly a game that I hope continues to get updates and support into the future, as a few quick fixes and add-ons could really help the game shine.
