Review title of StevenBlocky design, does its job, but if it was smaller.5/10

This dongle/adapter a lot bigger than you would expect. The USB-C port sits inside a blocky exterior that is just as heavy as a google home mini. Its bulky and cable won't be able to support the weight of the block so the block will always be dangling right down

Review title of 人达large and expensive.

The reason why Surface laptop 2 and surface pro 6 do not have the usb-c port is that Microsoft wants to sell this dongle to all the existing customers and the new surface laptop and surface pro users.

Review title of HuyOver priced and oversized.

Overpriced and lacking ports. Instead of a single USB C port they could of included other I/O especially for the price. Also its very large to carry around. Unsure why they didn't include a USB C port in the new Surface pro 6 and book 2 when its quite common even on lower budget laptops. Poor effort from Microsoft.

Review title of MinhBulky design, but at least it's cheaper now

To give context of it size to any Surface user, the adapter is almost the same size and weight as my Surface Pro 6 charging brick. Cable doesn't looks well reinforced so I doubt it long-term durability. At least it get the job done as an alternate charging port for any USB C device owner and it support my USB C hub so I wont have to buy that big Surface Dock. Also, It was half the price than it used to be by the time of writing this review so I would say it's a pretty decent bargain. It sucks that this is probably the only Surface to USB C adapter that I could find in Australia and only until now Microsoft finally has the ball to dropped the price down.

Review title of SteveMisleading advertising

You need to have a mains powered USB-C hub in order to connect USB-C devices, and incidentally keep your Surface Pro charging (so pay extra ~$150 on top of adapter to 'USB-C enable' Surface Pro (that should have it built in already IMHO). Return processed OK, guess I'll use the refund to put toward buying Surface Pro #7 ... in 2020?

Review title of Andylacking Usb-c on surface pro 6

Disappointed no USB-c on Pro 6 bought adapter over 100AUD but now I will have to buy another adapter to have a power source on top while using adapter, as the C port goes into power supply, running several things at once does burn battery quickly. Really annoying as adds another couple hundred onto computer for full portability. Adds weight/portability and really takes away from what could have been an awesome purchase otherwise.
