Pingy is a utility which monitors your network resources. It utilizes background tasks to check the status every 10 or 30 minute and sends you toast notifications if something goes wrong. Pingy supports three different protocols: • HTTP(s) for web resources. • TCP Ping for any other service. • PowerShell for remote scripts. Pingy also uses a Live Tile where you can see the last time your resources were pinged and their status. To avoid faulty reports the application supports a reference endpoint which ensures that your phone got a valid network connection. Pingy has its own PowerShell script library which lets you update secondary live tiles and send toast notifications based on your requirements. This will let you set any text or image as a live tile, the only limit is your imagination. Pingy uses the built in WS-Management service, so no third party application is required to run remote scripts. A set of sample PowerShell scripts are included which shows you how Pingy can be used to: • Notify you when errors occur in the event log. • A Live Tile showing free disk space. • A Live Tile containing a random picture from your computer. • A Live Tile reminding you of pending Windows Updates. Key features: • Support for HTTP, HTTPS, "TCP Ping" and PowerShell. • Customizable response codes. • Updates every 10 or 30 minutes. • Live Tile. • Toast Notifications. • Reference endpoint. • Silent hours. • SSL support for PowerShell. • Basic authentication. • No third party application required.
