The healthcare landscape is rapidly changing, and we are here to help. In times of crisis when patients are required to self-quarantine or cannot make it to an in-person appointment, they can easily schedule time with healthcare providers and conduct virtual visits directly through Microsoft Teams. Patients can safely and securely access their visit directly through the Microsoft Teams mobile app or the web browser.

Microsoft Healthcare Bot service is one solution that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help the CDC and other frontline organizations respond to these inquiries, freeing up doctors, nurses, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to provide critical care to those who need it.

The Healthcare Bot service is a scalable Azure-based public cloud service that allows organizations to quickly build and deploy an AI-powered bot for websites or applications that can offer patients or the general public personalized access to health-related information through a natural conversation experience. It can be easily customized to suit an organization’s own scenarios and protocols.

Communication for crisis management

A combination of Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, the Crisis Communication app allows employees to report their work status and admins to push news, updates and content out to the organization.

During times of crisis, the Crisis Communication App helps organizations coordinate information sharing and team collaboration, and collects data about the safety of employees. Admins can publish updates and provide emergency contacts for different locations, and employees can report their work status and make requests to managers. You can even add RSS feeds with news updates from WHO, CDC or local authorities.

Healthcare emergency response resource tracking

Power Platform worked with a local Seattle hospital to create apps and dashboards to provide visibility into available beds and supplies like masks and ventilators, and give hospital management a set of dashboards to support resourcing decisions. The solution has been converted into a template to enable any healthcare provider to implement.

To support the deployment of the solutions above, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Apps portals are now available through free product offers for up to six months for healthcare customers.
