Dispatched and then refunded

Somehow the Microsoft Store managed to dispatch this to me, where it sat waiting for pickup (Fedex "label created") for a few weeks, and then my order was refunded. I don't want a refund, I want the product -- if it's not in stock, just say so! How on earth did it get to the point of being "dispatched" if it was never in the warehouse to begin with? Microsoft are big enough that they shouldn't need to drop-ship direct from suppliers, so what gives? Some serious issues here for management to investigate.

Unable to review, shipping and delivery info unreliable

Nobody knows where it really is. Someone makes up a different story everytime I inquire. Microsoft and FedEx are unreliable. Very disappointed. I won't order from them again.
