Create profiles in Microsoft Edge for every part of your life—work, personal, or guest—so your tabs, logins, and favourites stay separate. When you sign in with your work or school email, Edge sets up a work profile that can use your organisation’s security policies, single sign-on for supported sites and apps, and additional Microsoft 365 features to help you stay organised and on task. You can also sign in with a personal account to sync bookmarks, passwords, and history across your devices, and personalise each profile’s look, startup behaviour, and settings.

A profile in Edge lets you create a personalized browsing experience with separate bookmarks, history, passwords, and extensions.
When you launch Edge for the very first time, you’ll have the opportunity to sign in as part of the onboarding process. If you’ve already been using Edge, you can select the profile icon icon in the Edge toolbar and then select Set up a new profile.
You can find your profile icon in the top right corner of your Edge browser window. Click on it to learn more, switch profiles, etc.
It's really easy to set up a new profile – just click on your profile icon icon to get started. Select Set up a new profile, then choose between Personal or Work or school depending on your browsing preference.
Open icon Settings and in the Profile section select Profile preferences. Toggle on Automatically sign in to sites with your current work or school account.

Note: You must switch to the profile you'd like to customise to see this option. Simply find the profile you'd like to customise at the bottom of this Profiles page within Settings and click on Switch to be able to customise your profile.
Yes, if you are signed into your Microsoft account, you can sync bookmarks, passwords, extensions, and more across devices that are also signed in. You can review and choose what is synced across your devices by going to icon Settings, then Profiles, and under the Profile settings section select Sync.
When browsing as a guest, the browsing data in this guest profile is kept separate from the other profiles set up on the device. This means that when the guest closes all their windows on the device, Microsoft Edge will save the files downloaded, but will not save the browsing history, the download history, or the cookies & site data.
