Review title of RichardSimply stunning - a developers dream!

Simply the most beautiful piece of kit I have ever owned. It's so light, fast, gorgeous and capable. To be able to pull off the magnetic keyboard and use it as a tablet, then plug the keyboard back in and code as a developer or use the pen to create visuals for the web. It's a developers dream. I can code it as a desktop, then preview my site or app as a laptop or tablet all on one device. It is so quick too and renders crisp images. Totally recomend, but it is pricey, but I think worth it.

Review title of RickAmazingly practical and fast

This is my first Microsoft Surface and I can only compare it to my 2010 Macbook Air (which isn't really fair - I know - but I use both daily). My MB is my go to for surfing the web or reading my emails as it's light and practical. The battery is good (over 7 years old!) and it's got USB ports. My Surface Pro is my work-horse. It's fast and can cope with the work that the MB can't. I am self-employed (running a B&B) and rely on Lightroom and PhotoShop for a lot of my marketing and advertising for my online images and video editing. It gets the job done. The display is amazing and I can't fault it. Well done Microsoft.

Review title of CarlosThe best option due to its versatility

It does not exist a perfect device. At certain level (MacBook pro, IPad, Surface, Surface Pro, Windows, IOS, etc.) the quality is great and technology amazing. There will always be, of course, areas of opportunity in all devices and software. However, due to its versatility the Surface Pro 2017 is, for me, the best option if you are a person that like / need to be connected and travels or moves a lot. You can use it as a powerful laptop or as a comfortable tablet or, if you prefer, as quick and accessible as a block of hard paper.

Review title of JasonGood device for portability and everyday functionality

Remained on the SP3 for the past few years due to the original firmware issues with the SP4 and Surface Book. The first New Surface Pro I received was a pre-order, but it kept randomly shutting down/hibernating when in use, such as typing a document, browsing or watching videos. After diagnosis, resetting and wasting a day, this had to be returned; as you can imagine, I wasn't impressed. Bought a replacement from Currys/PC World as MS Store would need 5 days to send a replacement. Fortunately, this replacement is working perfectly so far (2 days use) and does not demonstrate the previous random hibernation problems. The device can now replace my aging SP3 and I am actually impressed (I am biased as I loved my SP3). This SP is actually what I wanted, better screen, slimmer and longer battery life, although not 13.5 hours. Under 4K video loopback test (WiFi off, screen at 50%) I achieve approx. 12% battery loss per hr (8+ hrs) so capable of a full days general use. I am now content.

Review title of MarcNot durable, for the price the warranty must be longer

I purchased the SP4 when it just came out. Initially there were driver problems but this got sorted out after firmware updates. Some months ago my screen started to flicker after several hours of use and yesterday it froze and cannot be rebooted. Disappointed with durability and having to replace it within 2 years.

Review title of JoelGreat device when it works. Bad customer service

Straight out of the box, my Surface pro(i7/8gb/256gb) had a minor but visible chip on the top panel that houses the power button. I returned it for a replacement. An exchange product was sent immediately after Microsoft received it. Unfortunately, I received another damaged device but this time with a different fault regarding the LCD panel being raised from the body of the device. Already frustrated, I ask Microsoft for another exchange. I am then told by customer service that their system will only allow for a refund to be issued and then I can repurchase a new device. It has been 5 working days since Microsoft received the faulty surface and not a refund in sight despite one customer agent saying it would be 48 hours. by the time the refund arrives to finally place a new order, it will be over a month since initial purchase before receiving a functioning product. All could have been quicker with another exchange provided. Or better, a faultless product from day 1.

Review title of Andrewsurface pro 4 i5 brilliant till thay go wrong

my surface pro worked brilliant until it gave me a blue screen returned it to Pc world they sent it off to Microsoft and a week later sent me back a second hand refurbished machine which I have refused explaining I did not buy a refurbished machine I bought a new one and expect a new to replace my machine (refurbished are much cheaper than new ) this was over a week ago still no news and still no Surface pro just as well I have a I5 Dell tab and it never let me down ) get a grip Microsoft or you will be loosing another customer :-( Surface pro 5 stars rating Microsoft service 1 star the latest they wouldn't give me a new machine but did send a new charger WTF. Apple it is next time and Microsoft can go to hell

Being a student I needed a new laptop, thought the surface would be prefect for carrying and doing work on. I was very wrong. After a few days the touch screen stopped working. And to make it worse the stand that's use to hold it up has now snapped off. Other than that it's a good laptop/tablet just needs to be stronger and more reliable. A disappointed customer.

Review title of Boriswanderfull device

I found MSP(5) to be valid replacement for old MS3Pro (highest level), it is thinner doubled memory, doubled speed, longer lasting ACCU with more quiet cooling system, tripled disk speed while much much bigger space only for doubled price of gadget. The ONLY thing I miss is LTE connection (maybe NFC?) and one USB/C port plus.
