Review title of a525252does updates without permission
i spent an hour waiting in the middle of the day when, i needed to work, for an update to complete and it did it automatically. Not the first time it has happened either.
Review title of YogieStill has many flaws.
Felt forced into a corner to upgrade from windows 7. Not overly impressed with it as it try's to take control of everything, especially updates and where to store things. It also has problems reading old external hard drives and some memory sticks, in particular SD cards.Full email history only seems to be available via the internet. The list goes on but I'll stop here.
Review title of TheLegend277Slow and buggy
I've gone back to windows 7, from the days before all this data mining stuff and irrelevant apps clogged it all up.
Review title of technophilThe Best Operating System
I think Windows 10 is great. I use my PC for proofreading and teaching. It has incredible features not often highlighted. I have an apple iMAC bootcamped into Windows 10 - I just don't use OSX anymore. I have upgraded 4 other computers and never had a single problem. My advice is stop whingeing and start using and realising how good it is.
Review title of AdamGBristolConstantly crashing and lagging.
Regretfully I used the option of the free upgrade from Windows 7. Windows 10 crashes constantly (I've been working for just over an hour at the moment and it's crashed twice). It crashes at least once a session. Sometimes with a blue screen, sometimes just a hard crash and reset. It also lags frequently across all programmes. I've been using Windows since 3.1 and this is easily the most unstable build to date and automatic updates generally cause more issues than they solve - I've just rolled back the last set of updates to try and get a more stable version without much luck.
Review title of Cap10Windows Vista to windows 10
Bought Windows 10 to upgrade a perfectly good computer that had Vista installed. All the various files were written to DVD as per the instructions but my computer will not open the install file to install it. Have re-read the instructions which are awful and still have had no success.
Review title of johnrpTotally unimpressed. Ubuntu interfaces much better
I bought Win 10 for my wife for work use. She was un-impressed with the Edge browser and is looking at Chrome. Me .... ? I've moved to Linux.
Review title of TrickyTBetter than Windows 8.1

Review title of bagseyeI've had to do 2 re-installs since 'upgrading'
As the title says, I have been required to do two re-installs since taking up the free 'upgrade'. My system can clearly handle it, but the OS has caused me so many problems. Now, I can't upgrade because I have missed the free opportunity, and I sure won't pay for this software in it's current state. I have switched to Linux but unfortunately rely on Windows for Adobe products. This being the case I will have to take the plunge into buying a Mac as I cannot trust this product. Even my older version of Windows 7 is now obsolete because the servers for restoring updates are all but shut off by Microsoft. An absolutely terrible product and service.
