Works but pricey

I know the Surface Pro 4 is a premium product but this adaptor feels like many of the standard mini display port adaptors that are out there. This does the job well, and works perfectly. It is Microsoft branded but you can get cheaper alternatives that do the same job, just as well. Still it works fine, and does the job.

It works on my Surface 3

I had bought a cheap one of these from a well-known longstanding mail-order company which didn't work. I risked spending much more money on this one and...it worked straight out of the box. Well packaged, neat and it did what it said on the tine so full marks. There is a moral there too - cheap doesn't always equal good value.

useful addition

A useful connector when out and about. Slightly pricey but otherwise works well with surface Pro 4

Great little device

Unfortunately I am using an older KVM switch (SVGA) and cannot afford to upgrade to a large HDMI switch. I tried plugging my Surface Pro 3 into the HDMI port of my monitor and just using the keyboard/mouse side of the switch for the Surface Pro - but the monitor kept getting badly confused. So I had to plug the Surface Pro into the VGA screen part of the switch, the mini-port provides a clean signal and I can now operate all my machines on the same switch.
