Not accurately described

I bought this product so I could play my Xbox one on my windows 10 PC using the wireless feature on the headphones and controllers. Although it works for the controllers it is not compatible for the turtle beach headphones. This was not mentioned in the product discription and therefore misold ,and the shop was not prepared to give us a refund.

BSOD with current drivers

[TL;DR: physically huge, crashes Windows occasionally.] I wanted to upgrade my Xbox 360 wired controller, so bought a 360 controller + wireless adaptor + plug and charge kit. I would have bought the Xbox One Elite controller if I could remap the rear triggers from Windows 7 (I have no plans to migrate to Windows 10 at this time). - I had to download the current driver (version 6.3.9600.16384 from 2015/Jan/01!) and install it manually, via the catalog.microsoft.com site. - There are two versions of this driver available for download, with the same dates and version numbers, but different file sizes (1.7 vs. 1.8MB). I don't know which one I am using, but Device Manager says it's up to date when checking online. - It was temperamental to pair, and occasionally needs re-pairing after a period of disuse. - I recently had my first BSOD's for a while: WinDbg points to mt7612US.sys, the driver used by this adaptor (apparently using a MediaTek 7612US chip, probably related to their WiFi dongle chip). MSFT seem to be aware this can be a problem (on Windows 7-10); the most authoritative reference I could easily find was this one from XBox forum MSFT staff: 'Till that time one possible mitigation could be to go into a less noisier environment from a radio perspective.' Considering the old age of this driver and the frequency of this problem, I would have hoped MSFT would provide a fixed driver by now, or recall these adaptors and replace them at their cost. Certainly, the two drivers available should be investigated and the incorrect one removed. MSFT also make compatibility information hard to find, possibly because this device was Windows 10 only initially.

Perfect Adapter

I ordered this on a Tuesday night and it came by UPS delivery (trackable) on the Friday. The adapter itself is small, includes a USB extension cable (so it doesn't get hit off of any laptops which would break it and works perfectly when pairing new Xbox One controllers. With this I thought I'd get in early as many PC titles are becoming fully controller supported and the only controller I really enjoy holding is the Xbox One controller. Recently Microsoft allowed the adapter to be used on Windows 7 and 8 which opens up me playing games on many more devices. All round a great product which could've been £5 cheaper but its great quality.

Excellent

Works as you'd expect. No trouble using with Windows 10. Once the adapter is installed it connects simply by pressing the X button on the controller. Highly recommend. An absolute necessity for a PC gamer. Only gripe is that Microsoft took a long time to release it, but I am glad they did as my wired Xbox 360 controller cable was too short as I play using a Smart TV laying in bed.
