Description

The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller and the Xbox Accessories app gives you nearly unlimited ways to play. Create and edit configuration profiles for any number of gaming scenarios—one for the way you play Halo, another for fighting in Killer Instinct, and still another for how you drive in Forza. The app lets you store up to 256 different configurations in the app and save 2 of them to your controller at a time. Switch between them using the profile switch at the top of the controller. Since the 2 configurations are stored on the controller, they will be at your fingertips whether you 7re using it at home, a friend's house, or a tournament. Buttons and paddles are fully customisable for each configuration. Choose from 14 digital inputs for each button. You can also assign the same action to multiple buttons. For example, use either the bumper or paddle to throw a grenade in Halo. The app lets you edit each button one by one, or review and remap multiple buttons at once. In addition to button mapping, you can select a sensitivity curve to fine-tune how physical movement of the thumbsticks translates to on-screen movement and control. For example, if you are playing an FPS game as a sniper, you might want to reduce initial sensitivity for slower aiming, but allow a fast response to react to an enemy sneaking up behind you. You can also adjust trigger set points. Floor it instantly in Forza. Or, give your trigger a bit of a dead zone to more easily feather the gas. In shooters, add a dead zone to prevent misfires or go the other way and make it a hair-trigger. That's not all. You have 4 vibration sliders to adjust just how your controller gives you feedback. Swap left and right thumbsticks. Even the brightness of the Xbox button is yours to control. To start, we will give you some recommended configurations, plus some game-based settings straight from the developers. Of course, you can always can jump right in with your own settings. It's all up to you.

Works as intended

The app allows me to connect my elite controller, uodate the firmware. And remap the buttons/paddles as and when I see fit. Giving you the option to save 2 profiles to the controller to swap between. Which can be replaced with other saved profiles when the app is open.

wont download

tried many times but wont download keeps coming up error

No Mapping to Keyboard Keys

Its a shame that there is no option to map buttons/triggers to keyboard keys. It is a simple and easy thing to add, feels like PC gamers are always overlooked when it comes to development. When can we see this feature included?

Only works with the Elite Controller

The standard Day One Xbox Controller doesn't work with the app. Features like vibrate are stuck on and can only be changed in certain games. Very frustrating

Excellent

With the Elite controller, it's really good for playing games with new controls. Say If I wanted to play Battlefield with only knowing the Call of Duty controls. This app makes it easier because I can just make a control type where I can Use the same controls on a different game.

4/5 Due to Paddle Assign issues

4/5 Due to Paddle Assign issues. However! This can be fixed instantly by holding paddle down on Button Config menu, then clicking the Stick you wish to assign. Yet, if you try using the menu, this is not possible. Otherwise a 5/5 as other options have been perfect for my setup style.

Keyboard Mapping for Elite Controller Please

App works flawlessly and picked up the Elite controller without any issues. Customisation is pretty good but really need to add additional keyboard mapping to the controller to make this truly useful to real world PC gaming.

Doesn't do anything at all!

**UPDATE** Do not use the new Firmware update feature. It has just bricked my controller. Well done Microsoft. Well done!! **UPDATE 2** Microsoft after much arguing sent me another controller. At first I thought this was DOA but after some investigation I found that when it bricked my 1st controller it also bricked my charge pack. The new controller worked with some batteries in. Then I connected it to my PC, ran the app again & it told me to again update the controller. It seemed to flash it correctly this time.. At least it said it did but then it powered down & now the new one is bricked so it is most definitely a fault with the app! ----- Using this with the standard Xbone controller, it doesn't do a single thing other than show you a nice picture of it. I was looking for this; "Feature • Update the firmware of your Xbox controller if required." But alas, it doesn't exist! ..More useless than I could of ever imagined

Paddle Customisation

There should be an option to customise the paddles while using It with the PC. Very disappointed. This would make game play lot more fun on the pc. You pay £195 for an elite controller with out elite functionality.
