Insurance benefits at Microsoft - Flexible Benefits Plan
Life/term cover, reimbursable benefits, medical insurance and personal accident cover
Life can be unpredictable and we know your needs change with time. That is why our Flexible Benefits Plan has been designed to provide you and your dependents with a comprehensive insurance cover around Medical, Personal Accident and Term/Life. We also have the Reimbursable Benefits (such as Fitness, Tuition Assistance and Child Care), which allow you to allocate a part of your Flex Points towards these in case you choose to top up any of the reimbursable benefits.
Microsoft’s Medical insurance policy is unique in many ways. First, it is a floater cover, which means that you have the flexibility to spend the entire amount on one person and there is no cap on the amount per person so long as it is within the overall coverage amount. Second, there is no cost sharing on actual expenses incurred (so long as it falls within the policy guidelines).

Microsoft Run
The 2nd edition of the Microsoft Run fuelled up your racing spirits!
In the 1st edition in 2019, 500+ runners in Hyderabad and 350+ equally sporty runners in Bangalore made it to the finish line. This year two pre-event activities set you on the racetrack. Many employees took part in the 4-week training runs, to build up endurance. You also tested your fitness levels with a circuit challenge and got your competitive spirit racing!
On 22nd February 2020, you geared up for a running experience like never before. The warm-up Zumba session raised the energy level to for the morning to the highest. 800 enthusiastic employees set running across the Bangalore and Hyderabad locations; this number reflects that you are right on track to improve your physical wellness.
The theme for the run this year was mental wellness, with the tagline 'It's okay to be'. At the run, the spirit of inclusivity was upheld with each one embracing the fact that all are unique and different in their own ways.
