Set up Lync Online external communications – admin email template
If you want to communicate with external Lync users, you’ll need to make sure the admin in the other organization has set up external communications as well.

If you want to let your Lync users IM and talk with Lync contacts in other organizations, and also to Skype users who are signed in with a Microsoft account (formerly Windows Live ID), you’ll need to make sure the admin in the other organization has set up external communications as well. Use this email template to contact the admin in the other organization.Supported Operating Systems
