Application Dependency Monitor in Operations Management Suite

Application Dependency Monitor (ADM) presents a view of your servers as you think of them - as interconnected systems that deliver services and rely on other technologies. ADM discovers and maps server and process dependencies in real-time, without any predefinition, and visualizes application components, service dependencies, and supporting infrastructure configuration. This helps you eliminate the guesswork of problem isolation, identify surprise connections and broken links in your environment, and perform Azure migrations knowing that critical systems and endpoints won’t be left behind. The ADM public preview supports Windows and Linux guests, in any cloud and on-premises.

Azure Archive Storage

Azure Archive Storage is a very low cost cloud storage for data that is archived and very rarely accessed with retrieval time in hours. It is highly durable and secure. Customers will pay for GBs stored and access charge. This is useful for archive data such as medical reports, compliance documents, exchange mails, etc. that are accessed rarely but need to be stored for many years.

Microsoft Operations Management Suite provides visibility into Docker containers

Gain visibility into Docker containers in your environment, with Microsoft Operations Management Suite (OMS). The readymade container solution, in development, provides you a dashboard view of the status of all the Docker containers as well as Windows containers in your environment, including performance metrics for the containers and their hosts. Using the log search capabilities, you can also search on logs from Docker daemon and the containers. Extending your ability to spot problems and troubleshoot issues quick on applications running Docker containers.

Operations Management Suite patching solution

Remove the uncertainty out of patching your servers with Microsoft Operations Management Suite (OMS). The patching solution, in development, provides insights into time estimates and sequence of patches needed to keep your servers up-to-date. You can do intelligent patching with workload awareness across heterogeneous environments, including Linux. Relieve the stress of patching by maintaining control of when and how to patch. Patching during business hours will become a reality.

Azure Data Lake

Azure Data Lake is a hyper scale repository for big data analytic workloads. It provides organizations with a single place to store every type of data prior to any formal definition of schema or transformation requirements. It has no fixed limits to either file or account size, and has massive throughput to increase analytic performance. Azure Data Lake is a Hadoop File System compatible with HDFS that works with the Hadoop ecosystem providing integration with Azure HDInsight, and will be integrated with Microsoft offerings such as Revolution-R Enterprise and industry standard distributions like Hortonworks and Cloudera.

Azure SQL Data Warehouse

Azure SQL Data Warehouse is an elastic data warehouse-as-a-service with enterprise-grade features based on SQL Server’s massively parallel processing architecture. It provides customers the ability to scale data, either on-premises, or in our cloud. It’s the first enterprise-class cloud data warehouse that can dynamically grow or shrink compute in seconds independently of storage enabling customers to only pay for the query performance they need when they need it. SQL Data Warehouse enables customer to use their existing T-SQL skills to integrate queries across structured and unstructured data. With SQL Data Warehouse, customers have a choice about where to keep their data, based on performance, security and scale requirements, enabled by SQL Data Warehouse either in the cloud or on-premises.
