The 15" model can last up to 17 hours* with typical device usage. Ensure that you're charging your Surface Laptop 5 correctly to maximize battery life.

  • When you build your Surface Laptop 5, you'll have the power and performance of Intel® Iris® Xe graphics. This graphics card can help you improve your gaming experience, content creation, and more.

  • Yes, Surface Laptop 5 can connect to additional monitors. You can expand your screen by using a Surface Thunderbolt™ 4 Dock, Surface Dock 2, or another docking station. Docking your Surface device allows you to charge it while simultaneously connecting it to multiple screens.

  • You can buy Surface Laptop 5 with 8 GB, 16 GB, or 32 GB LPDDR5x RAM. Because you can't upgrade its RAM, you should build your Surface Laptop 5 with a higher RAM selection or consider removable solid-state drive options in 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB.

  • Yes, Surface Laptop 5 does have a backlit keyboard to help you see the QWERTY keyboard layout no matter how bright or dim your surroundings are.
