    This is the User Guide, Samples and Walkthroughs for the tools for developing custom SharePoint applications with the Visual Studio 2005 extensions for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, version 1.1 (VSeWSS 1.1). The user guide has sections:

    The User Guide included is an CHM file that does not require any additional software to view. The Samples included are source files and a Visual Studio solution file that can be opened in Visual Studio if the VSeWSS 1.1 tools are installed.

    VSeWSS 1.1 is listed as a related resource in the box to the right of this page. The VSeWSS 1.1 tool includes Visual Studio 2005 project templates for Web Parts, site definitions, and list definitions; and a stand-alone utility program, the SharePoint Solution Generator.
    The Visual Studio extensions for Windows SharePoint Services are expected to be released for Visual Studio 2008 in June 2008

  • To install this download:
    1. Download the file by clicking the Download link (above) and saving the file to your hard disk.
    2. Double-click the VSeWSS11_UserGuide.MSI file on your hard disk to start the setup program.
    3. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
    4. By default the user guide and samples will install into C:\Program Files\Microsoft\VSeWSS 1.1 User Guide - you can change this folder in the setup program
