One of the question I always get is, I am a partner and I have deployed a trial instance for one of my prospects. Can I invite a prospect user who belongs to a different AAD tenant to my trial instance and if yes how?
Yes, you can invite to Dynamics AX an AAD user who belongs to a different tenant than the one that deployed Dynamics AX.
Let’s say, a user from partner.onmicrosoft.com tenant deployed an AX instance, to add user@prospect.onmicrosoft.com to the Dynamics AX, you need to go to the User Management form in AX and create a new user by setting the following
- User alias: user@prospect.onmicrosoft.com
- Network domain: https://sts.windows.net/prospect.onmicrosoft.com
After this share the Dynamics AX login URL with user@prospect.onmicrosoft.com and he/she will be able to login to trial instance and experience your solution.
