At the moment, audio sources in Spanish and Korean can be translated to English. Likewise, audio sources in English can be translation to Hindi, German, Italian, Spanish, and Russian.
Currently, Microsoft Edge’s video translation feature operates on specific websites such as YouTube, Reuters, CNBC News, Bloomberg, Money Control (IN), LinkedIn, and Coursera due to technical reasons. We are actively working to expand compatibility and offer more options for users in the future.
The translation is done completely on your device, meaning that no data from the video leaves your machine. This means that no segment of the video or audio content ever exits the machine or is processed in the cloud.
There are many factors that affect how accurate the translation is, such as the background music, number of speakers, source language, etc. We are continuously working to improve the quality of translation. However, users should keep in mind that AI generated content may have errors.
