Microsoft Ignite will be held the week of September 24 – 28, 2018 in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center and Hyatt Regency Orlando.

As such, we do not tolerate harassing or disrespectful behavior, messages, images, or interactions by any event participant, in any form, at any aspect of the program including business and social activities, regardless of location.

We encourage everyone to assist in creating a welcoming and safe environment. Please report any concerns, harassing behavior, suspicious or disruptive activity to the nearest security guard or show staff. Microsoft reserves the right to refuse admittance to, or remove any person from, Microsoft Ignite at any time in its sole discretion.

You may review and make changes to your registration information on the Microsoft Ignite registration website.

After you’ve signed in, you may:

  • Edit or cancel your registration
  • View and print your confirmation
  • Create or edit your hotel reservations
  • View and print your invoice or receipt.

The Microsoft Ignite cancellation policy varies based on the type of pass you purchase.

  • Full conference pass: A full refund minus a $200 processing fee will be issued when a cancellation is received by Friday, August 31, 2018, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. Refunds will not be issued after that time.
  • Convenience pass: The convenience pass is non-refundable after payment has been submitted, regardless of cancellation date.
  • Pre-day workshop: A full refund minus a $50 processing fee will be issued when a cancellation is received by Friday, August 31, 2018, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. Refunds will not be issued after that time. Attendees who cancel a pre-day workshop while maintaining their diversity and tech pre-day pass are subject to a $100 increase in the pass fee.
  • Diversity and tech pre-day: A full refund minus a $25 processing fee will be issued when a cancellation is received by Friday, August 31, 2018, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. Refunds will not be issued after that time.
  • Celebration companion pass: Refunds are available until the registrant has checked into the conference.

You may substitute a new person in an active registration at no additional charge. To request a substitution, Sign in to your registration account and select Substitute another person for this registration. Note that not all attendee types are eligible for a substitution.

  • Substitution requirements:

    • The original attendee should not cancel the registration.
    • If the payment method is changing, the new registrant must provide payment before a refund is issued to the original attendee. To change the method of payment, email the Microsoft Ignite registration team to have someone contact you for new payment information. No action is required if the new registrant will keep the same payment method.
    • If a hotel reservation is in the record, it will be automatically transferred to the new registrant before 3:00 PM Pacific Time on Friday, August 31, 2018. Please check all hotel dates and preferences carefully to ensure that they match the requirements of the new registrant. The new registrant will be responsible for any hotel cancellation charges or no-show fees if the reservation is not properly updated. Please refer to the hotel cancellation policy on the registration page for details.
    • The new registrant is responsible for canceling or changing travel and hotel reservations.

We use registration codes to ensure that registrants see certain questions and pages during the registration process, and to provide registrants with the correct price point. If you believe you should have a code, contact your Microsoft representative.

  • Is a registration code required?

A registration code is not required. All registrants will be prompted to enter a code at the beginning of the registration process. If you don’t have one, select the Register without a code option.

  • I have a registration code but would like more information on what it provides.

Email the Microsoft Ignite registration team for information regarding your registration code.

  • My registration code is not working, or I forgot to enter my code.

Email your name, your contact information, and the code to the Microsoft Ignite registration team. Someone will contact you within one business day.

  • I need to change the registration code listed on my account.

Email the following information to the Microsoft Ignite registration team. Someone will contact you within one business day.

  • Your name and contact information
  • The code you have
  • The code you’d like to use
  • Whether you’ve already entered your code into a partial or completed registration.

For a receipt for the 2017 event, email your request to the Microsoft Ignite registration team. Receipts for your 2018 registration will be available within your record upon completion of your registration.

Credit card

This option is available to all attendees online. We are not able to split payments; that is, you cannot pay with multiple credit cards to avoid a credit card limit for conference registration fees. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards.

Offline payment

For attendees who can’t pay by credit card, complete your registration up to the payment page and then contact the Microsoft Ignite registration team for further instructions.

Microsoft will provide business travel support letters to attendees who have an approved Microsoft Ignite registration and who have paid in full. If you need a business travel support letter, please plan accordingly. Sign in to your registration and click on Business travel support letter under the quick links on the right of your confirmation page. Email the Microsoft Ignite registration team if you have any questions.

Microsoft is not responsible for contacting embassies or scheduling interviews on behalf of attendees and cannot expedite embassy timelines or procedures. Please contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your country with questions regarding your visa requirements.

Microsoft will provide business travel support letters to Microsoft employees or other business visitors (registered partners or customers) engaging in Microsoft-related travel. We do not provide letters for spouses or family members. A dependent family member accompanying a conference attendee may use a copy of the attendee’s business travel letter to support the family member’s visa application.

Microsoft has secured blocks of rooms at Orlando-area hotels for Microsoft Ignite at special group rates. During the online registration process, you’ll have the option to make a hotel reservation. All reservations must be requested before August 31, 2018, at 3:00 PM Pacific Time.

You must register for Microsoft Ignite and make your hotel reservation on the registration website to receive the special group rate. Hotels are unable to book rooms within the group block through their reservation offices.

  • Only one room reservation can be made per registration.
  • Space and rates are based on availability.
  • Special requests (such as bed type and smoking preferences) cannot be guaranteed until check-in.
  • A credit card valid through the end of the conference is required to make a reservation.

Do not book a hotel reservation with any company claiming to be an official representative arranging hotel accommodations for this event. If you require hotel accommodations, we recommend that you book through the Microsoft Ignite registration website.

Identify yourself as a government/public sector employee during the registration process. Depending on your conference pass type, you may be required to submit a waiver, which will be available for download in your registration. If you have any questions, email the Microsoft Ignite registration team.

If you receive an invitation to attend Microsoft Envision after you have registered for Microsoft Ignite, we will assist you by transferring your registration and ensuring you receive a full refund.
