Microsoft Ignite is for anyone who is motivated to be on the frontier of innovation and tech. We recognize that the role of IT has shifted considerably, as has the way IT decisions are made. Therefore, our keynotes and sessions are meant for all roles, from developers and IT implementers to those who make large-scale purchasing decisions for enterprise tech and security solutions.

Microsoft Ignite will be held on September 21–25, 2020 at Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA.

Visit our Microsoft Ignite 2019 on-demand sessions page to access sessions and hands-on labs from Microsoft Ignite 2019. Please note that while most sessions are posted, a small number are not. Microsoft Ignite videos are available for up to one year after the event or while the content is still relevant. Labs are also posted on our hands-on labs page.

We do not tolerate any behavior that is degrading to any gender, race, sexual orientation or disability, or any behavior that would violate Microsoft's Anti-Harassment and Anti-Discrimination Policy, Equal Employment Opportunity Policy, or Standards of Business Conduct. In short, the entire experience at the venue must meet our culture standards.

We encourage everyone to assist in creating a welcoming and safe environment. Please report any concerns, harassing behavior, or suspicious or disruptive activity to venue staff, the event host or owner, or the nearest security guard or event staff.

Microsoft reserves the right to refuse admittance to or remove any person from Microsoft Ignite at any time in its sole discretion.

Registration questions

You may review and make changes to your registration information on the Microsoft Ignite registration website.

After you’ve signed in, you may:

  • Edit or cancel your registration.
  • View and print your confirmation.
  • Create or edit your hotel reservations.
  • View and print your invoice or receipt.

You may substitute a new person in an active registration at no additional charge. To request a substitution, sign in to your registration account and select Substitute another person for this registration. Note that not all attendee types are eligible for a substitution.

Receipts for your 2020 registration will be available for email or download on your Confirmation page upon completion of your registration. To obtain a receipt for the 2019 event, email your request to the Microsoft Ignite registration team.

  • Credit card: This option is available to all attendees online. We are not able to split payments; that is, you cannot pay with multiple credit cards to avoid a credit card limit for conference registration fees. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards.
  • Offline payment: For attendees who can’t pay by credit card, complete your registration up to the Payment page and then contact the Microsoft Ignite registration team for further instructions.

To receive a Business Travel Support letter, you must have a completed Microsoft Ignite registration and have paid in full (if applicable).

Business Travel Support letters will be available for direct download from the Confirmation page of your registration. To download a letter, sign in or create a registration on the Microsoft Ignite registration website. Ensure you’ve proceeded through all steps to complete your registration. From the Confirmation page, select the Download Business Travel Support Letter option from the Quick Links. Upon submitting the required fields, you will be presented the option to Download Letter.

  • Business Travel Support Letters for Guests: The Microsoft Ignite registration team can only provide letters to registered attendees of Microsoft Ignite. Letters cannot be provided to guests.
  • Travel Requirements: To ensure you have the proper travel documentation, please review the travel documentation and requirements for entry into the country on the US Department of State website.

Neither Microsoft nor Microsoft Ignite are at liberty to provide direct consultation regarding attendee travel requirements. Any questions regarding personal eligibility or documentation should be channeled through local consulates.

Hotel room blocks have been arranged at hotels offering exclusive rates to Microsoft Ignite registrants. During the registration process, you’ll have the option to make a hotel reservation.

To receive the Microsoft Ignite rate, all reservations must be made through the registration website. Hotels cannot book rooms within the Microsoft Ignite hotel room block directly through their reservation offices.

  • Only one hotel reservation can be made per registration.
  • Space and rates are based on availability.
  • Special requests (such as bed type and smoking preferences) cannot be guaranteed until check-in.
  • A credit card valid through the end of the conference is required to make a reservation.

Housing companies claiming to be official representatives or vendors arranging Microsoft Ignite hotel accommodations are not official service providers for Microsoft Ignite and their offer may be a scam. Hotel rooms within the official Microsoft Ignite hotel room block are only available via the Microsoft Ignite registration website.

Identify yourself as a government/public sector employee during the registration process. Depending on your conference pass type, you may be required to submit a waiver, which will be available for download in your registration.
