Getting started with Bing Maps is simple.
All you need to start building with Bing Maps API is a Microsoft account. Once you’re logged in, you’ll be able to easily create a Bing Maps API key and power your app with geospatial data. If you’re looking for high-performance solutions for your organization, contact sales to learn more about the Enterprise key.
To create a key, follow the steps below:
Head to the Bing Maps Dev Center and click “Sign In” to use your existing Microsoft Account to generate an API key. Don’t have a Microsoft account? Hit “Create one!” and hop in: it takes seconds to get started on new apps with our map API keys.
Step 2
Go to “My Account” and click on “My Keys.”
Step 3
Fill out the form and click “Create” and get your API key details.

The Basic Bing Maps API key is for use with consumer-facing, education, and non-profit applications as well as for internal commercial Windows or Windows Phone applications that qualify for free use. The basic key comes with AI-powered tools such as the Isochrone API, using location intelligence to make your life easier.
