The definition of stagflation (stagnation + inflation) is the combination of two relatively unpleasant factors: slow economic growth and increased inflation. Increased prices caused by inflation reduce how far your dollar extends (your \u201cbang for your buck\u201d), while slow growth means increased unemployment and fewer new jobs added by employers. <\/p>\n<p>While these can be difficult circumstances, stagflation doesn\u2019t last forever.
