Copilot Labs

Be among the first to experience new Copilot features and help us shape the future of Copilot. Copilot Pro subscribers will have access to Copilot Labs to try experimental AI features before they are generally available.

Think Deeper

When you Think Deeper with Copilot you can get help working through complex life events or even a tricky coding or math problem. With better reasoning capability, Think Deeper spends more time considering your scenario and replies with a more comprehensive response.

Think Deeper is now available to Copilot Pro subscribers. Look for the ‘Think Deeper’ button while using Copilot.

Copilot Vision

Copilot Vision is your visual AI companion in Edge. With your permission, it can view and interact with the pages you’re on or suggest next steps. Need to ask a question about something on screen, get a summary, translate text, or get help completing a task? Copilot Vision can assist without disrupting your workflow.

We will gradually roll out Copilot Vision, starting with a limited number of Copilot Pro subscribers in the United States later this Fall.

When you activate Copilot Vision, it uses voice to answer questions about what you're reading, suggest what to do next, and help you out without leaving the page.  We’ve prioritized security, control, and privacy above all else, ensuring every time you use Vision your data is handled and protected in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

When a Vision session is ongoing, your browser frame will have a hue indicating that you are in an active Vision session. When you close the Edge window, your Vision session ends.

To use Vision again, click on the Copilot entry point at the bottom center of the Edge browser screen to get to the Composer. Click on the right most icon in the Composer to start a session with Vision. If you want to end a session, you may do so by clicking on the x button to exit the Vision session or closing the Edge window.

  • No. Copilot Vision will not limit behaviors on the browser in any way. It simply functions as an AI companion as you browse and can be invoked when you want Copilot's help.
  • Security and digital safety are top priorities for Microsoft. Copilot Vision will not be accessible on offensive and harmful sites, and Copilot cannot be used for harmful, offensive, and illegal topics. To learn more visit Empowering responsible AI practices | Microsoft AI.
  • At this time Vision is only a part of the consumer Copilot offering. You are required to be signed in on your personal MSA account in Edge to use these Copilot features.
  • Copilot Vision and Recall are different features with different goals in mind:

    • Vision works strictly in the context of your Edge browser. You can turn this feature on when you want Copilot's assistance with a page you have open. Vision will not 'remember' content from past browsing sessions. One way to turn Vision off, besides turning it off in the Copilot composer, is to simply close out of the Edge browser window. Future browsing sessions will not reference past browsing activity.
    • Recall is a feature that will only be supported on Copilot+ PCs. For Copilot+ PC users who opt in, Recall takes encrypted snapshots of a user's PC screen across apps, websites, images, or documents. Snapshots are then locally stored and locally analyzed on the user's device. Recall will operate like the user's own virtual, private “photographic memory” on their Copilot+ PC.
