Description

Inspired by 60s pulp sci-fi movies, Albedo: Eyes From Outer Space is a first-person adventure game. Working as a night-watchman at a partially abandoned, secret research facility, you are knocked unconscious by a nearby explosion. Waking in the complex’s basement you look up and see a gaping hole in the ceiling. Escaping the damaged building is only the start of your troubles and as you begin to explore the base you encounter strange, unearthly organisms. Is this all because of some sort of biological experiment gone wrong? You’ll need to fight for survival as you unravel the mysteries and solve the problems that lie ahead.

I love puzzle games but this game is just simply not worth anything but free. Terrible voice acting, puzzles, and confusing controls cause me to believe this game should have stayed in development. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

The trailer is what intrigued me to get Albedo. Don't let it fool you like it did me. Albedo is one of the worst games I've played and I'm usually someone who rarely comes across a game I don't like. I immediately disliked Albedo from the very first room. The voice acting has no emotion. Story is incoherent at best. You'll spend most of the game not knowing why you're doing the things you're doing. The controller configuration is a nuisance. Having to scroll through an inventory, select the item, then scroll through the item's actions while being chased by an alien is not fun. I beat the game using a guide because I unfortunately spent money on it and wanted to get through it quick. A guide is a tremendous help for the achievements as they're easy to get but easy to miss because the achievements are just plain stupid. At least it was on sale when I bought it. If the developers make another game, I hope they learned from Albedo. I will be very wary. Otherwise, stay far away from this.

Review title of CuChulainn9Dude, lay off the airplane glue!

I feel a little bad dumping on a game, not being able to make one myself, but come on. This game appeared quaint from its trailer but makes me want to huck my controller at the wall. I've gamed for over 25 years, so I can handle a challenge, yet I can't even get out of the intro basement! Nothing about this game seems intuitive to me and the lack of y-inversion just kills it. Even though I love a good B-movie, this one's beyond me. Oh well, there go THOSE two hours of my life.

There is no invert Y-axis option for the camera angle in this game and I need that option to play any game. So, the only part of the game I've seen is the beginning video and cellar room you start out in. Just from seeing that, I encountered bad gameplay, graphics, and the worst had to be the dialogue; the voice actors were not convincing at all. I can only assume the rest of the game will be just as poorly made, so I don't feel too bad about not being able to play it, but I still paid money for this turd. If anything, an update including the invert Y-axis option would be somewhat appreciated -- at least that way I can play through the game. But if not, oh well, the game is still garbage.
