Description
Anibu is a media library browser designed to provide a Netflix-like experience for your local anime collection. Frustrated by filename-based scrapers like Kodi or Plex, Anibu was developed with hash-based scraping instead, meaning you no longer have to worry about organizing and naming files the "right" way to be recognized properly. Re-discover and explore your anime collection with a beautiful visual browser designed to quickly group your collection the way you want it and makes navigation easier through a quick-nav bar. Find the show you want instantly with the Instant Filter Bar and then see all the details, local episodes available, related anime, and similar anime with the TV-optimized anime information page. Never forget what shows you want to watch with a built-in local anime queue, and hide the shows you have already seen by marking them watched. Optional MyAnimeList support allows you to update your MAL watch list as you watch shows through the app. Library management is easy: just set the folders you want scanned and Anibu will recursively find all recognized media files and hash them. Once library folders have been cataloged, Anibu can incrementally recognize new files on-demand and add them to the library. Hashing can take a while depending on the file size, number of files, and storage speed so Anibu supports pausing and resuming library scanning operations; just close the application whenever you want and the next time you refresh the library, Anibu will automatically resume from where it left off. AniDB provides the anime information so a free AniDB account is required to use this application. Currently recognized filetypes: MKV, OGM, AVI, MP4, WMV, RMV
What's new in this version
v1.3.0.0: -Fixed crash when minimizing application. v1.2.9.0: -Fixed crash when assigning manual file IDs. -Fixed crash when an anime has no image associated with it. v1.2.8.0: -Refreshing the library now displays a progress bar for each phase of the refresh process. -There is now a button to force refresh all episode infos for an anime. -Fixed a crash that would happen if an anime had no end date associated with it. v1.2.7.0: -Basic MyAnimeList (MAL) support! After logging in with your MAL credentials in the Settings page, Anibu will automatically: -Mark a show complete in MAL when marked Watched in Anibu. -Watching an episode will mark the show as Watching in MAL, or enable Rewatching if the show is marked Watched. -Watching the final episode will mark the show Complete or disable Rewatching in MAL. If Anibu displays a "Show in MAL" button in the info page for an anime, it means Anibu was able to find a MAL ID associated with the show in the AniDB data, and will be able to update your MAL information. -Add a "Show in Crunchyroll" button for shows that have Crunchyroll data in AniDB. -Added the ability view episodes as a list or a grid. -Search results are now sorted by relevance and then by the current "Sort By" setting. This won't really affect single word searches, but should improve result displays for multi-word searches. -Fixed title search not treating separate words as separate search tokens. -Possible fix for another startup crash.
