I actually was pretty surprised, being that I'm a Marvel fan and enjoyed a DC game. Had a blast up until I reached lvl 30, then the game makes you pay to progress further, (which is understandable since it's free-to-play.) But overall, I have to say. DC, you know how to make a super hero/villain MMO work. TWO THUMBS UP!

DCU plays 'okay'. You are 'free to play' up to a certain level, afterwards you are required to start buying DLC packs and content. It plays as a standard action RPG, using button presses to attack and all combat is real-time. The two cities of Gotham and Metropolis can be run through, or flown through, all you want, just make sure you be careful you don't run into high-level territory. The customization is pretty cool with all the various costume pieces you can use to put your own outfit together. Or just dress up like the Flash, it's your choice. That said, in 2017 there are quite a few 'odd' directions the game has gone. There is almost an overwhelming amount of 'shiny things' to waste your real money on, and not alot of 'engaging' content pass a certain point. Some power sets are severely lacking behind others, and PvP is hardly considered 'working' by anyone. I've enjoyed my time with the game, but at the rate it is going, I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a long run.

Review title of FreshesguyAliveIt isn't free 2 play
Literally everything cost from episodes - powers and inventory space, if you name it a free 2 play game then make it a free 2 play game.

Review title of DeadlyDean92Pay To Play/ Bad Server Management
This is defintely a Pay to Play game. Free to play is VERY limited. They also do server shut downs in the middle of the afternoon. The company is based in San Diego, and they are shutting down at 4 PM today. I am from the NW , so this is frustrating. Its unprofessional to shut down during the day. You are burdening paid players. Not OK from a consumer's perspective.

It would be an even more fun to play a game thats all free to play...its the only thing i can find to complain. about im not going to play a FREE GAME that makes you pay to play more of it...thats just bad for business, not to mention you have to be a member to get access to all you'r in-game cash and other features are locked...stupid features but an ok game to play with friends... they just need to find a different way to make money......mabye try alot of cosmetics......plus i cant give it a -2 stars

can only create two characters. can only use a capped amount of in game currency. i have played 2 characters for several days worth of time. the stories are great. playing a character that you can customize after your favorite superhero is cool, but the glamour wears off. if you're a free game player you pretty much have to deal with the "glass ceiling". you can only use a certain amount of currency even if you earn more than the cap unless you pay to play and use what you earned. this is just an example amongst other issues in game that doesnt support growth. the work you do isnt really rewarded well unless you pay. i cant make more than two characters unless i pay. i cant buy that material or new piece of equipment without going broke because i have a limited amount of currency i can earn and cant access the extra i earned unless i pay. the limitations this game sets for free players destroys the fun and point of an mmo. im sad and disappointed. i expected better.

Review title of jimdandy49Glitchiest Game EVER on Xbox Live!!!
This one is fun to play, but the developers got entirely too greedy when they set price points for the items available to purchase. It would be nice if they would add more time to paid subscriptions to make up for all the down time they suffer trying to nurse this 6 year old game along on current gen consoles. I've seen times when there is nobody even playing, which sucks considering so much content can only be accessed via multiplayer. After merging their US and EU Xbox servers in a desperate attempt to increase population in the world, it seems like a minor miracle if they can keep it up and running for 30 minutes without crashing. They have also revamped the game lately to dumb down your strength to make it take longer to accomplish anything, increasing subscription time burned grinding the same content repeatedly. If you are considering purchasing a subscription, be prepared to invest a LOT of time and money. All I can say is... caveat emptor!
